125L String Trimmer Part #. problem. My throttle cable...1
Parts Question posted July 3, 2016 by Michael Campbell
    Question:
125L String Trimmer Part #. problem. My throttle cable assembly broke and I ordered a replacement based on the serial number of my unit. Serial 06074N302334-1. P/N# 545125301 ... the end of the cable nearest the carburetor does not match mine and all the diagrams I see for this part do not look the same as mine. Is it an upgrade and or how does it install differently.

    Question:
Just bought a brand new 223L trimmer. I read the instructions, and went to give it a go. I start it according to the instructions and the unit dies out on me unless I hold down the throttle. Should I have to adjust the carb already on a brand new unit?

I bought a new cutting head for my Husqvarna 125C...1
Service & Maintenance Question posted May 28, 2015 by Mark Pierce
I bought a new cutting head for my Husqvarna 125C (curved shaft), but have not been able to remove the old one. The manual states to use a wrench on the hex shaped dust shield and turn the head clockwise as you are facing it.

Simple enough. However, when turning the head, the captive nut inside of it rotates along with the stub shaft that it is threaded to. (while the hex shaped shield remains stationary)

Although there is no sign of corrosion on the threads, I allowed it to soak in penetrating oil over night and it will still not un-thread.

    Any suggestions?

Warranty Question posted September 27, 2013 by Ric Jones
    Question:
I purchased an SST25CE...used it 3 times and it quit. I took it to an authorized Weed Eater service center who called me and told me that the flywheel had come off and that part(s) had been ordered. I just checked back with them (6 weeks after delivering the unit to the service rep) and they advised me that "we are still waiting for the parts".
I don't know about you, but if I have to wait any longer, the growing season will be over, and I'll be shovelling snow which means that the Weed Eater will be of no use.
I called "Customer Service" and they said they couldn't do anything, that if it had to be repaired, then it couldn't be replaced and there was nothing they could do. I asked for an email address so I could send my concerns to someone and they couldn't provide me one.
Do I have to contact Scott Ride in order to get service?????

Customer Service also suggested that if it was going to be replaced that I would have to go back to the store where I purchased it with the appropriate paperwork (which I can't get because it is being repaired if the part ever arrives!). The store I purchased it from is 100 kms from here.....do you pay the gas and my time too? Not likely.

I would like my trimmer repaired now, or a new one within a week.

I have the receipt, I have the warranty confirmation, but I don't have a working Weed Eater.

Thank you, .... I await your reply.

P.S. If a part is so hard to come by, it implies to me that the company has a problem with its supply chain. If it is a part that does not 'usually fail' and is probably due to incorrect assembly at time of manufacture...then why not replace it right away? Just my thoughts.....

General Product Question posted May 2, 2012 by Richard Cady
    Question:
Last September I purchased a Weedeater FL26 from Sears, I did not use until yesterday. When running it idles very fast and when using the trigger it stalls. counterclockwise turns on the idle screw does not reduce the idle. Called Weedeater and obtained local service address and assume they can adjust unit.

However, when I looked for my model number on the Weedeater site it was not listed. Received an answer that only current year models are listed. OK, went back to site and looked at parts, keyed in FL26 and notation stated NO PARTS AVAILABLE.

Brings up a question: Is model FL26 a unit that was made for Sears to specifications other than Poulan/Weedeater? I know some companies do this. Do I have a Weedeater or some knockoff?

    Question:
I purchased a FL25C weedeater string timmer 10/11 and the rope now will not come out far enough to start the engine. It appears to be locking or hanging. Occasionally after pulling time after time the rope will come out far enougth to start the engine. I had this same thing happen to one I bought in the spring of 2011 after using it for the summer so I junked it and bought this one.
