10530SBE Snowblower Auger Belt Slipping. MODEL:96195000101...escalated3
Service & Maintenance Question posted December 17, 2013 by Thad
    Question:
10530SBE Snowblower Auger Belt Slipping. MODEL:96195000101 S#110205M605302. I have had problems with the auger belt slipping due to not enough tension being applied to the belt since it as purchased in Feb 2006. Replaced the belts it least 3 times. The Impeller Arm was replaced in 2010 due to weak design (original part # 532 17 92-59) can't remember however I think it was bent. The new part # 532 18 47 89 for the Impeller Arm/Pad Assembly looked to be a better design. Guess what I still have the same problem with slippage. Now in 2013 I see the design has changed again the new part # 532 42 27 62 and the description has changed to KIT SERVICE IDLER PULLEY. Will this new kit take care of the issue with slippage?? I hate to keep throwing parts at this machine. The kit includes a pulley, what is this for Engine Shaft or Impeller Arm? Why is a belt included in this kit?? If this can't be answered I will supply more info pics etc. hopefully I can put this problem to rest. see 2 pics of impeller arm that was removed from service and the latest revision impellar arm KIT

    11/13/2011 I purchase a Husgvarna model number 1130SBLSB...Answeredescalated1
Service & Maintenance Question posted November 15, 2011 by Earl Wilkening
    Question:
    11/13/2011
I purchase a Husgvarna model number 1130SBLSB snow thrower in late winter of 2009. Have been very disappointed with the operation the snow thrower. The problem with this unit is that the it is highly gear that it is impossible to set the speed control low enough to walk behind. The speed control is set as low as possible without the unit going into reverse. I have taken the unit back to Southwest Ag in Bayfield Colorado twice. The first time they replace the friction drive wheel because I was trying to control the drive speed with the traction drive control lever. The second time I returned it to the dealer to see if they could reduce the drive speed. They said they could not adjust that feature and that was just the way the unit works. I am looking at the coming winter and I have a snow thrower with about 2 hours of use that I am convinced that will not meet my needs. I hope there is a fix or modification that will make this snow thrower usable.

    Question:
1827EXLT: Hydro fluid reservoir seems low. Manual says not to fill it, but why are there level markers and a big filler cap? Would hate to run it dry unexpectedly; that can't be good. So what should I be looking for and what fluid is compatible, should it come to that?

    1830HV Snowthrower new October 2011. Used 1 hour last...escalated1
Service & Maintenance Question posted December 9, 2012 by Gary Therkelsen
    Question:
1830HV Snowthrower new October 2011. Used 1 hour last season. Worked fine, exactly as expected. Today when I tried to use it, the traction was intermittant for the first hour. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. After an hour, it worked normally. Linkage appears to be and function normally. No unusual sounds or smells, just unable to move under its own power reliably for the 1st hour of operation. On downhill grade, it would run away as though there was no engagement of the traction system.

Service & Maintenance Question posted December 15, 2016 by Norman Goodyear
    Question:
Bought a Husqvarna snow thrower 254 cc, 27"Jan 19, used it the first time, it worked OK, second time belt went. Both snow falls were light BTW. It was in the shop, I was in the shop by the middle of February. We had one more light snow fall after, and the auger would not stop rotating. Discovered at the dealer there was a service bulletin on the model, not from Husqvarna!! The product is defective. Had it serviced to take care of the auger issue, first snow fall of the year, light - I don't get two passes in the drive and the auger stops working again. Back in the shop. Second snow fall of the year and I am out shovelling. Husqvarna service is nonexistent. To talk with a real person means making a call to the US on my dime, I am in CA.

RUN AWAY, DON'T WALK FROM ANYTHING HUSQVARNA. THE RELIABILITY THEY HAD IN THE PAST IS JUST THAT, IN THE PAST.
    Details:

I want a full refund or the machine replaced.

Bought my ST227P 11/2014 from Lowe's, only used it once...16
Service & Maintenance Question posted December 29, 2017 by Joe Wadsworth
    Question:
Bought my ST227P 11/2014 from Lowe's, only used it once in April 2015 due to light snow that winter and used it 4x in 2016. I've literally only used this snowblower 5x since I bought it! Pulled it out 12/2017 (again nearly no snow this winter--global warming I guess--but wanted to get it ready just in case). Started it up and then tried to put it in Drive, but the wheels are stuck in Reverse. I looked under the control panel and it appears a piece of plastic that was part of the plastic gear assembly has broken off. I'm shocked! I paid nearly $1,000 for this snow blower and it's been used 5x and is just barely out of warranty and something like this happens?? Poorly made I guess, should have bought a different brand. I did a ton of research before buying a Husqvarna and was convinced it was top of the line. However, having read through countless posts with similar models made from 2013-2016 it would appear that Husqvarna has a few issues (belt, gear and thrower controls) that need their attention. Nothing that costs this much should break after 5 uses, that is just unacceptable. Husqvarna needs to stand behind their products and when they know many of their customers are experiencing similar issues they need to extend their warranty to cover repairs and necessary upgrades to remedy poor manufacturing practices. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Bought two (2) Husqvarna 1830 EXLT snowblowers, one...escalated1
Service & Maintenance Question posted February 20, 2013 by Scott Magie
    Question:
Bought two (2) Husqvarna 1830 EXLT snowblowers, one for each house 1000 miles apart. Had trouble immediately with the first one, it would not toss the snow far or move forward. Shop did a recall that replaced the belt and idler pulley. Need to get the other one fixed since this past weekend the first time I used the snowblower it couldn't toss the smallest amount of snow after an hour of use. The shop at other location was unaware of the recall. Can you please send the recall info and the parts that need to be ordered so I can get the Husqvarna shop up to speed and they can order the parts.

Handwarmers and Headlights not working. I have an ST227P...1
Service & Maintenance Question posted November 18, 2014 by Chris Deming
    Question:
    Handwarmers and Headlights not working.

I have an ST227P Husqvarna snowblower. 27 inch, 2 stage w/ handwarmer and dual LED headlights. Just purchased, used 1 time and the handwarmers and headlights are not working and have not worked. Without killing myself and tearing things apart does anyone have any suggestions on an easy fix? Is there a fuse I am not seeing? A simple connection that might be off? Husqvarna solution is to load it into my truck and drive to a dealer which is 25+ miles away. I think it must be a simple fix? Thanks for any help you can provide.
