    Question:
1.) What is the difference be the Husqvarna 128LD string trimmer and the 128DJX string trimmer?

2.) Is the 128DJX made in Sweden and if not where is it manufactured? Is the motor made in Sweden?

    122C Leaking Gas - Recalled?
General Product Question posted October 14, 2014 by Michael in Florida
    Question:
    122C Leaking Gas - Recalled?
    Details:

I have a 122C Trimmer I purchased 2 years ago. While using it last week it leaked it's whole tank of gas down my leg. Never had an issue before. In Googling the problem, I see that these were recalled for leaking gas around the same time I purchased it.

I emailed 'recalls@husqvarna.com' last week and got an automated reply that I would hear back in 24 hours, but have heard nothing. What do I do now?

General Product Question posted April 14, 2012 by Bob Lantier
    Question:
128 CD string trimmer will not idle. Only run in half choke mode. If I flip the choke off I can keep it running by working throttle but it has not power. Bogs down very easily. I removed air filter and cover and cleaned carb with spray cleaner but did not help. Any ideas? Thanks, Bob

    Question:
128ld out of box will not engage the trimmer head. Did everything by the book and still will not run. Looks like I am going to take it back and get my money back. Information with unit said call 1 800-487-5951 even on Saturday. 8:00 am03:00 pm Eastern time. That number said hours are only Monday through Friday. That sends a bad message to me big time.

    128LD String trimmer's shaft quick change/detach button...
General Product Question posted August 3, 2015 by Todd Moreau
    Question:
128LD String trimmer's shaft quick change/detach button disengages when trying to bump feed line, and no i'm not hitting it hard at all.
    Details:

I exchanged one 128LD for another 128LD yesterday, and 2 out of 4 times when I tap the head on the ground, the quick release/detach button would seem to dislodge and make the lower portion of the shaft spin.  Is this something I can adjust or do I need to return it to exchange?  I can't duplicate the effect by turning it with my hand, it only seems to happen when I use the bump feed.

I did follow the instructions to a 'T', as I can't always afford new expensive toys all the time, and I want to take care of it, I even used Husqvarna's pre-mixed 50:1 fuel.

It should be fair to mention that I had a previous 128LD that I returned to Lowes to get this new one as it was missing the pre-installed bolt off the shaft connector's rear.

Edit, UPDATE:  tried to tighten the bolts on the shaft with no luck, returned to store to get replacement, now this one has a whole new set of issues.  Either my mixture isn't right (doubt it, the previous 128LD was running off the same mixture), or there is an air intake issue.

General Product Question posted September 9, 2016 by Z Gabai
    Question:
129c trimmer: I find it very difficult to handle the trimmer. The spec says shaft is 63" long where a 128 model shows about 10" less. I'm 5'10".
Is this 129c specifically designed for taller people because I have to lift up my arms about 10" higher than normal to get trimmer head level with ground.

    Question:
A new 128LD trimmer. I have had numerous trimmers w/tap and go head. Can't get this new trimmer head to work. Have tried tapping on the ground w/o head spinning and w/head spinning w/o success. Nothing in the owner's manual as to technique. Am I missing something or is the head defective right out of the box?

About to buy a new husky and every dealer tells me something...escalated
General Product Question posted June 26, 2012 by Henry Bryant
    Question:
About to buy a new husky and every dealer tells me something different. Can you assist me?
    Details:

First...I thought I had my mind made up that I wanted a 324LDX four stroke but I talked to both of my local husky dealers and both told me directly they are trash and said if I buy it they wont service it. So I hate to buy something and have no servicing dealer. The bad part is all the reviews on husky are awesome for that model.

Now let me tell you what I need/have. I have a troy bilt split boom on its last leg and want to upgrade to a husky. I have every expand it attachment known to man from edger, blower, tiller, pole saw and would like to use them still with my new purchase. I manage my 1 acre lot and I manage my 30 acre hunting property twice a year trimming limbs with the pole saw. I was in lowes and saw some huskys and looked on the expand it attachments and it listed husky as a brand that will work with them.

Now the issue. Based on talking to two dealerships I told them I wanted to buy a two stoke since they wont sell me a four stroke and told them I wanted to use my already owned attachments and one guys responce was that the only way I could use my attachments was to buy a crappier "I quote" box store version of the husky. He told me what I really needed was the 128DJX and he would sell me new attachments specfic to that model. It really sounded like he was wanting to line his pockets.

Please tell me what to buy so I get a good unit that will suit my needs. I do not need a blade attachment.

General Product Question posted November 20, 2012 by Luke Roberts
    Question:
    Aloha-

I went to start my 128LD string trimmer and now the cord will not retract. I still have the sales receipt, purchasing the product at my local Lowe's in October of 2011.

I have taken great care of this trimmer and have used it less than 10 times. Any way to get this fixed? Not sure how to move forward with this issue.

    Thank you for your help,

    Luke
