Warranty Question posted September 12, 2014 by toby moreland
    Question:
I have a weedeater one, we261, model #9602400001 01, serial # 010811L001970, purchased in 2011. a recall on the friction wheel is in place for my model, but excludes my serial # for some reason. I have the same exact issue that is reflected in the service bulletin #B2010002015, but the service company statess the wheel is not under warrantee. They also stated that the wheel itself cannot be ordered, that the entire transmission assembly must be replaced at a cost of $320 plus tax and labor! This cost is more than the mower is worth! Please advise why this fault in manufacturing that hundreds of other people are also experiencing, is not covered by the bulletin, or at minimum, how I can obtain just the friction wheel...I can replace the $20 part myself. Please dont reply and say i must buy the entire transmission! thank you for your help in this matter.

    Question:
I have had my weed eater one for a month or so. Today, it made a very loud noise when the blade was engaged. The bearing for the blade appears to be locked up and will not turn. How do I get this fixed. Note, the mower is only a few months old and is under warranty.

If you ghegt on your hands and knees and push on thelittle silver detent, you can make it work until the next time. WHO wants to get on their hands and knees each time you need to adjust the height. Is there something I can do? Bill

Warranty Question posted June 21, 2012 by Cheryl Naples
    Question:
I purchased a 26" Weedeater riding mower less than one year ago, and I am in need of a differential ASM. In the manual and on the web it is listed as a $58.00 part, (plastic I might add), but now I have been told it is actually no longer avaliable, that you must purchase the entire assembly for $345.00? Am I crazy, it that possible? I mean first of all it isn't even one year old, and second of all, the part is PLASTIC and no longer able to purchase it, even though it is still listed in the manual and on the web as Part #428876. What a shaft! Any ideas?
    Is this a warranty issue?

Warranty Question posted June 11, 2011 by Wendi Weddell
    Question:
I purchased a Weed Eater One about a year ago and used it four or five times at the most. After storing in a garage over the winter, the mower will not start. When I tried to start it I heard a clunk noise, and now the mower cannot be put into neutral. The lever in the back is loose. I can't push it onto a trailer to take it for repair, and I can't start it to drive it on to a trailer. Is there something a novice can do to try to fix this thing? I tried to return it to Walmart last summer but they would not take it back. Total piece of junk!

Warranty Question posted April 30, 2012 by Pat Stevens
    Question:
I purchased a Weed Eater One from the Rona in Chilliwack, BC, Canada on May 21, 2011. The machine's serial number is 041311L002912. It now will not move forward without making a loud grinding noise, though it will go into reverse just fine. I would like to take it in for warranty repairs since it is less than a year old and has less than 20 hours time on it.

The problem is that when calling the companies listed on the service locator I find that while they will service Weed Eater products they will no longer do warranty repairs. I've called the first nine companies listed with no luck and the next one's are in the US so I'm not going to take it across the border for repairs.

Can you direct me to a repair agent that will do warranty repairs on my Weed Eater One and don't say to check the service locator?

Warranty Question posted August 7, 2012 by gerald nemet
    Question:
I purchased a Weed Eater One riding lawn mower on July 24 of 2010. I brought the mower into an authorized service center in April and was told that the transmission was bad and it was covered by the warranty. Now, almost 4 months later, the transmission finally is received and the service center says that the mower has a defective frame and the transmission can not be installed. They said that they would contact Husqvarna for approval to get a buyout. They have not heard back from anyone and Home Depot has not been able to help me. This is a mower that was hardly used and should not have had these problems. Who can I speak to about expediting this process? I have been without my mower the entire summer and just want it fixed or replaced.

    Thank you,

    Gerry Nemet
