Service & Maintenance Question posted August 31, 2017 by Richard Stewart
    Question:
    Hello

I currently own a Poulan Pro Pp46Bt 46cc 2-Cycle 220 Mph 490 Cfm Heavy-Duty Gas Backpack Leaf Blower Model # 967086901. I need to buy a replacement carburetor. The old one is a RUI ING H119-6 (see attached pic).

I contacted Poulan Pro customer service and the reps provide very little help.

First rep: told me to put fresh gas and I would have no problem. (I did this and had the same problem. Machine would stall out when I press full throttle).

2nd rep: said I needed a new carburetor. Gave me part # listed on parts manual and told me part was on back order. 3 week wait plus would charge me $30+ for the part. (I look all over the web for the part # and could not find it)

3rd rep: I ask why the part # was impossible to find since this was a new 2016 machine. She could not tell me the brand of carburetor or confirm if the part # provided was correct. Even ask a supervisor with no luck.

I took out the carburetor from machine. It is a RUI ING H119-6. I google the part, only thing I could find was H119 (no -6).

Can someone confirm the proper replacement carburetor for my machine and where I can get one. I don't understand why this is so hard and why the carburetor is not readily available.

    Thank you

    Question:
My Husqvarna 130BT blower is leaking gas, but only when it is running. I cannot find the leak. Is this a common problem? Can you suggest where this may be coming from?

    Question:
My 130 BT blower was purchased a couple of years ago. The gas leak in the back now makes it unusable. I can't determine where the leak is coming from. Is this an easy repair? From a cost standpoint should I have it repaired or simply toss the entire machine and purchase another?

    Question:
My 130 BT seems to leak gas when I run it. The leak seems to come from the right side of the unit, just under the muffler area.

any ideas on what needs fixed/replaced?

Service & Maintenance Question posted July 21, 2017 by Brendon Coll
    Question:
Brand New Husqvarna 350 BT Blower won't idle without choke?
    Details:

I purchased a new 350BT blower and attempted to start for the first time. It started right away but as I went to turn the choke off it would sputter. If I applied any throttle with the choke off it would bog out and cut off. I also purchased (at the same time) a new 525 trimmer and a 240 Chainsaw and filled them all with the same 93 Octane - Ethanol free gas and mixed with the appropriate amount of 2-stroke oil for 2.5 gallons of gas. Those other pieces of equipment are running great so I don't think it is the gas. I checked the spark plug and it was fouled with a black sticky/oily looking substance. I replaced the plug and the issue persisted. I checked the plug and it was starting to gather this same oil. I started the blower briefly with the air filter out to see if this could be a source of the issue and there was no change. Also noted the same black oil coming out of the muffler holes on the back of the pack. Have a feeling this is a decently significant issue. Plan to take it back to the dealer, but curious if anyone has had this same issue and what exactly might be causing this.

    Thanks,

    Brendon

    Question:
What would cause fouling as in the pic for a Husqvarna hand blower?
It builds wile running and eventually causes a short on the plug such that it can not be started.
The material is rather firm when clearing it.

    Question:
I received a 125B leaf blower as a Christmas gift. I have used it 4 times and have had difficulty when I throttle it manually. It continually shuts off. I use only Tru Fuel 50:1 Pre Mixed Fuel 93 octane, ethanol-free formula Ethanol-free formula.
Why should I need a service center?
This seems to be a Manufacturing problem as far as I have a read. You always give the excuse of using gas with ethanol as the culprit. I think a return to the mfg is in order. How do I go about this.
