1 yr old H 125b blower. was happy with it, so bought a walk...escalated
Service & Maintenance Question posted August 11, 2012 by Mike Opsahl
    Question:
1 yr old H 125b blower. was happy with it, so bought a walk behind H mower also. Started up the 125b and it wouldn't run properly, even on choke. Took apart the carb, cleaned all ports, re-installed, then only ran on full choke, and not well. Adjusted the carb by dremmeling slots into the stupid EPA conforming screws. Ran slightly better after mild adjustments. Now won't start. Starter cord, spark, fuel is all OK. Now there is grease leaking from the bottom of the housing. air purge is also not re-filling properly. Unit now will not start. Plus, warranty dealer is not convenient (25 miles away)

Any ideas or just toss it and go back to Stihl?

    Question:
    125B Blower
Will turn over on full choke, then start on half choke, runs "haltingly" on half choke, will not run on "no choke".
Not used all that much. Had a gas problem, changed filter, have replaced gas a couple of times.
    What should I do?

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 10, 2012 by Denver Forbes
    Question:
125B blower purchased in 2011 worked great about a year then would not run. Heard whistling sound when depressing purge bulb. Found and repaired cracks in fuel line both inside and outside of tank near connections, replaced spark plug, used new fuel. Afterward blower would only run with choke wide open and throttle depressed. Fuel line is not picking up fuel. Depressing purge bulb just blows air in and out of fuel tank. I disassembled fuel system and cleaned purge bulb ports. Fuel filter was clean. If there is a check valve in the system it is not working. Fuel lines still will not pick up fuel.

    Question:
    125b blower won't start
    Details:
Recently bought used blower 2007 yr, model 125B, previous owner said it wasn't starting this season. Said it was last years fuel in the tank. I emptied fuel tank and put in new, replaced spark plug, still no start. Pulled plug out, its moist from fuel. Tested for spark and it does. Not sure where to go from here.

    125B Husqvarna Blower; purchased August 23, 2011, Florida,...Answeredescalated3
Service & Maintenance Question posted January 29, 2012 by charles Burnside
    Question:
125B Husqvarna Blower; purchased August 23, 2011, Florida, uses twice a week for maybe 15 minutes. I have been careful with it from "day one," I am the only user of the machine in our household. January 2012, I went out to start it as usual and when it finally started, it sputtered and would only run with the choke partially on; then I noticed that it was leaking fuel from underneath the gas tank area. Took it back to lowes and they sent it out and the mechanic wants $135.00 with the diagnosis that the machine is in need of a tune up and new carburetor. I am well aware of how to protect the machine from Ethanol and I even use the best rated gas for all my yard equipment.

Question, does this sound like a reasonable diagnosis? If your answer is yes, this is the last Husqvarna product that I will ever own and will go back to a cheap, relaible electric blower.

    Question:
125B. ~15 hrs operating. Symtom: will not run without adding 1/2 choke setting. I assumed that there was a fuel starvation problem. In tank fuel screen looked fine. Removed the screen to verify. Same problem. Removed carb. Needle, seat, spring all good. No obvious issues with gaskets or diaphragm material. Cleaned ALL passages with solvent and air pressure. Same problem. Inspected fuel lines. No issues. Even inspected the spark arrestor. Still looked almost new.
Could the diaphragm material have a hidden defect?

125BV Blower Vac muffler melted guard and broke off - AGAIN!...1
Service & Maintenance Question posted November 29, 2015 by Gregory Langosch
    Question:
125BV Blower Vac muffler melted guard and broke off - AGAIN! - Muffler bolt threads wont come out AND blower impeller shot AGAIN. Is this typical Husqvarna quality?
    Details:

I'm not sure if this is typical Husqvara quality of their "homeowners" series but I am not impressed.  I've had the Husqvarna 125BV blower vac for about 2 years now and it already needs a second new muffler and a second new impeller.  I've already replaced both once.

the first time I got burned by the melting plastic guard in front of the muffler.  The muffler had broke off exactly like the second one now had and bumped up against the plastic melting it.

When I tried to replace the muffler the first time, the two bolts were extremely difficult to remove and when they did come out it was obvious they brought some of the aluminum threads from the head with them and I had to clean that off the bolts before I could get them back in.

The replacement I had to install at teh beginning of this season is also in bad shape again, with many broken blades.  While it does suck up some small pieces of mulch fragments, I'd assume the blades are built for more then just leaves and can take it.  I don't abuse it and can't understand how this is happening.

So to sum it up, burned by melting plastic muffler guard, needs a second replacement muffler, Muffler bolts are stripping out the head threads, need a second impeller replacement.

Should I consider a different brand?

What about compression? Should flywheel turn easily with fingers, or offer significant resistance?
