Service & Maintenance Question posted May 2, 2011 by Wayne Smith
    Question:
I just bought a 125B blower to replace a blower that had given 10+ years of service. This was purchased at Lowe's so it came home in a box, no initial 'set-up' provided. After quick assembly and fueling, the unit started instantly. But it would not accerate. High speed jet required adjusting,,,only you can't adjust the jet with the 'new' splined head. A quick trip to Lowe's for the tool to adjust the carb. But I was told you can't buy the tool, EPA regulations. What!?? So I returned the unit to Lowe's for an exchange as per their recommendation. The THIRD blower did perform somewhat. I'm a mechanical engineer who designs transmissions for off road equipment and I am a mechanic. I made a tool that works fine but it makes a statement about the quality of Husqvarna that I got a so-so unit on my second exchange. I took great offense at the recommendation that a trip to an "authorized' service center is required to perform a simple carb adjustment.

    Question:
I purchased a 150BT backpack blower today. When I assembled it I found it is missing the straight blower tube section. The lowes store where it was purchased is all out the model. What do I do? I really need t get busy cleaning up my leaves but don't want to snap the tubes together and not be able to get them apart. Help please!

Service & Maintenance Question posted April 25, 2013 by Jerry Herbert
    Question:
I bought a well-used 150BF blower a couple of years ago and it worked well. Last fall it started having starting and stalling problems, although sometimes it would run well. This spring I installed a carburator kit, carburator gasket, new spark plug, fuel line and filter. Now it starts easily with a couple of hard pulls and runs well at full throttle but but seems weak and wont accelerate from less than full throttle, as if it is running too lean. Is it possible that I need to adjust the metering lever or do I have a vacuum problem from a worn engine? If its a worn cylinder is a new piston/ring likely to restore it or are these engines not practical to rebuild. If I cant do the work myself I might as well just buy a new blower.

    Question:
I just bought a 150BT leaf blower. I am confused on the choke position. Is the run position up or down? After I start the motor, if I switch the choke down, the motor dies so I am assuming that is the choke position.

Service & Maintenance Question posted May 2, 2018 by Craig Adams
    Question:
I have a brand new 560bts Blower with Husqvarna 2 stroke premix fuel. It will only run with the choke open. Everytime I close the choke the blower immediately dies. The manual says to put the choke "on" but does not state whether "on" means Open or closed? I wish the manual would use the same terminology as printed on the blower.
I cannot get the blower to work at all with the choke closed no matter if the engine is warm or cold. i'm afraid that there is something wrong? It only runs with the choke open.

Problem with service from selling dealer1

    Question:
Problem with service from selling dealer
    Details:

purchased a 570bts from my local dealer. I upgraded from a 350bt purchased from the same dealer. While using my 570 in the winter to clear light fluffy snow from my driveway the blower started suffereing from, by all indications, a fuel starvation issue. While running at anything over half throttle it almost quit until the throttle was returned to idle. It would idle fine. The longer it sat at idle the longer you could run it at higher rpm’s until the same issue would happen again. Rinse, wash, repeat. When using it this last fall it worked perfectly. Could go thru a full tank at full throttle without a hiccup. My 350 never had this issue even while using it when the temps were below zero. Dropped off at my dealer early Feb.  Did not hear from them for about three weeks so stopped by.  Said he will get to it Monday. That was three weeks ago and still no word. It’s now past mid March. He’s had it for over six weeks and all I have to show is a claim receipt. Dealers name, p/n, s/n available upon request. Purchased 10-20-2017.

Riddle me this Batman... Got a 150BT backpack leaf blower...1
Service & Maintenance Question posted November 24, 2017 by Steve Eckler
    Question:
    Riddle me this Batman...

Got a 150BT backpack leaf blower that randomly starts by itself, unattended.
    Details:

150BT Backpack Leaf Blower starts randomly, by itself.  The machine has been sitting in the garage unused for a couple weeks now.  Wife told me that the leaf blower is running.  I can't hear very well, I go check the leaf blower and its not running.  Today wife tells me the leaf blower is running, sure enough, the leaf blower is running.  I've never seen anything like that.  The leaf blower will at unpredictable times, completely randomly, will start, run for twenty seconds or so then stop.

It wont randomly start now because I pulled the cable off of the spark plug.  First question, is there something I'm doing wrong with this machine?  But anyway, I thought you guys might want to know about this one.
