I purchased new a Husqvarna Z246 zero turn in July. Love the mower. However, upon initial starting in normal weather, it will crank over a while before starting. I know there isnt a choke on this model and there is some type of "easy starting". I have tried starting with the throttle in the fast position, the slow position, and even the snowflake position, and still just cranks until it eventually starts and will even smoke a bit. When I have cut for a bit, and shut the mower off, and the engine is hot/warm, it fires up immediately. I do use the gas shut off after each mow meaning I shut it off. I do turn it on a few minutes prior to the initial start.
Could shutting the gas off and not opening it way before I start it have anything to do with the issue? Again, after the mower is warm, fire up is in a second...
Any ideas?
Thank you.
