General Product Question posted December 11, 2014 by Jonathan Zellmer
    Question:
What is the difference between the Husqvarna 555fx and the Jonsered FC2256 outside of the obvious and also I am having trouble with comparing what is listed on/in reading material on their respective websites? There is a lack of uniformity with information formats provided by Husqvarna and Jonsered websites for use in comparison of models across brand name borders. Maybe its from too much effort to be different when they are virtually the same machines.

The Jonsered FC2256 (20.28 lbs) > is listed as being heavier than Husqvarna 555fx (19.6 lbs)? These weights actually different or were different scales calibrated differently (red might look heavier than orange or Vice Versa?

Please help me to get a more complete and competent comparison of these two clearing saws (Husqvarna 555fx compared with the Jonsered FC2256), so that I can make an informed purchase as a consumer.

    Thank You in advance,

    Jonathan

Warranty Question posted October 18, 2011 by David Dessel
    Question:
This isn't a question as much as a comment. 335FR purchased 6/22/11. Put in service 7/14/11 for grass/weed clearing in trail corridor. Basically the long & short of it is the motor ceased. Dealer indicates the crankshaft or crank bearings are shot and the piston is scored = motor rebuild. They also indicated pilot error and a non-warrantable repair to the tune of $400.00. Here's my comment: I currently own a 1987 Model 61, an 1994 Model 51, and a 2007 265RX forestry cutter. All of which are still going strong after years of commercial use (I'm a trail contractor). That's a testimony to the care I give my machines... I am dismayed that after only 2months of use this 335 failed. Fuel was the same, maintenance was the same, use habits were the same. I am also somewhat dismayed that the dealers 1st assumption was "pilot error". So now I sit here 4 months after purchase with a (as of yet) non-functioning 335 that has less than 35hours on it that I will have almost 1K invested in. Unbelievable.

General Product Question posted December 13, 2011 by Tom McCartney
    Question:
Oil/Gas Mixture - I have seven pieces of yard equipment, including 2 that are Husqvana, all with 2 cycle engines. Some of the equipment specifies a 40 to 1 gas/oil mixture while others specify a 50 to 1 gas/oil mixture. Is there a problem running a 40 to 1 mixture in a 2 cycle engine that specifies a 50 to 1 mixture?

I have a 345FR brush cutter. Where is the fuel filter? The fiche doesn't show it in relation to the tank. Is it inside the tank? How do you replace it?

Parts Question posted July 30, 2017 by Bob Rummer
    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 225R brushcutter--ser. no. 7170823. The carb in it was a WT 270 Walbro--part no 503 28 15-06. The parts notes said that this carb has been replaced by part no. 577133001.

Question: the new carb has a port for a primer bulb line. The old brushcutter doesn't have a primer bulb. How do I put this carb in my brushcutter? Do I just plug the primer port or do I need to add a primer bulb too?

Is Valvoline Multi-Purposeycle engine oil TC-W3 safe for my Husqvarna saw and for my brushcutter.

Service & Maintenance Question posted May 11, 2015 by David Horn
My brush cutter model #223 R was purchased several years ago and my dealer at that time
told me that the drive shaft needed lubricated frequently. The dealer is now out of business and the owners manual does not explain how this procedure is to be done. I would like to perform the work myself and not look for another dealer. Can you please give me instruction on how to do this. Thanks! David Horn.
