General Product Question posted May 1, 2012 by Richard Allison
    Question:
I have a Husqvarna HD800BBC push mower which I purchased in January so it is a 2011 model. I am having several issues with the mower which seem to be design issue that makes the mower very unusable.

First is That when mulching the clipping stay held up to long and causes them to drop out all at one time leaving clumps in the yard. I am going by the owners manual an just cutting the top 1/3 of the grass. Also since this unit has a blade clutch, when stopping the blade and then trying to re-engage the blade, if the blade stops by the exit shoot the grass gathers there and keeps the blade from moving. Then the mower has to be stopped and turned on its side to clean the clipping from the shoot area.

The second issue is when pushing and pulling the mower.
When going forward if the ground is not flat and there is a little raise in the center of where the mower is mowing the mower will become hard to push to the point where the self propelled wheel will spin and sometimes come off of the ground. When pulling it in reverse the same thing happens, even when the safety flap is not folded under. The mower has to be dragged in reverse. Then if the flap goes under them mower it will lift the wheels or almost lift the wheels off of the ground.

When buying this mower I was clear that I would be using the mower to mulch. Also had told the dealer that I had heard there was issue when the flap folded under and was told that that he had not heard of any issues. But did not expect to have issue when the flap was not under the mower or going forward.

I am very disappointed with this mower. I did not buy the cheapest mower, but the top of the line so I would not have issues. At this time I am going to have to go back to my 22 year old Lawn Boy that this mower was supposed to replace and start using it again.

This is my 5th Husqvarna piece of equipment. I have been very satisfied with my string trimmer, 2 chainsaw and riding mower. That is why I purchased the push mower.

I would like to speak to someone about these issue. Please call me or give me a phone number to someone that can help me with my issue. The 800 number that is on Husqvarna website is useless unless you need parts.

Thank you in advance for your help with these issue.

    Question:
I was recently approved for a $3000 Husqvarna/Synchrony credit card. I cannot find a single store that accepts this frakkin card!!! Does anyone know of a store that actually accepts this card as I desperately need a mower? Thank you in advance! I've checked with Lowes, Home Depot, Scruggs, and ever the "authorized dealers" on the Husqvarna customer support page. NO LUCK!! I'm in the tupelo, ms area.

    Question:
What is the direct phone number for Husqvarna? The 1-800-487-5951 number is useless. I ordered a part at this number. I was told 3-5 days-it is now day 10!! I called them and was told it is on back order. I could have ordered from my local dealer and not waited this long. I called the 800 number again as I felt being Husqvarna this part should be in stock, I was not allowed to speak to a manager if they even have one. It sounds like all they do at this number is take orders. They could not give me the number to Husqvarna. I need the BOTTOM BELT COVER MODEL# 5521CHB. How can I contact Husqvarna???

    Question:
A few weeks ago I purchased a HU775H and it comes with a high lift mulching blade. Honestly it should be called a clumping blade. As I mow I get huge clumps of grass left behind. I have never seen performance like this. My last 2 mowers (Toros) never did this.

When I look at the clippings I see very long clippings. With other mowers I would get very small clippings. At first I thought this was a problem with the blade not being sharp so I sharpened it. No change.

With the bagger I am even getting some clumping. Though not as bad as with out it.

Anyone know what the problem is?

    Question:
I just bought the 775EX mower. As I was mowing over some tall grass I accidentally hit a metal rod that was underneath. The mower completely shut off and now I can't get it to restart. I have looked underneath to make sure nothing looked wrong and everything was still in tact. I need some ideas of what to look for on trying to fix it. It has been used twice without problems. Thanks!

    Question:
I purchased a Husqvarna self propelled lawn mower. Model # 917.380960 Product # 38096. The mower was purchase last summer from Sears, it has a Kohler motor. The problem I have is it worked fine up until last week when it didn't want to stay running. The gas is fresh, air filter good, spark plug good.the week before as I was mowing my yard it died twice on me, but started back up after i Let it sit for a minute or two, but last week as I tried to start it, it would only stay running for about 10 seconds and die as it was running out of gas.It will not stay running, and I am getting frustrated, If this problem doesn't get resolved, I will purchase a differant mower, and it won't be a HUSQVARNA!

    Question:
I bought an HU775H 22" (Husqvarna) walk behind rear wheel drive mower in February 2012 from Lowes. The drive system seemed weak early on so I began to adjust the drive cable but it has not helped. Apparently there is a flaw with this type of drive system. What are my options. I have noticed at the local Lowes store, there has been several returns on this mower. If this issue cant be resolved by the manufacturer, This will be my very first and very last Husqvarna purchase. The mower has only been used one season and problem was appearing early on.
