Husqvarna 445 leaks bar oil when stored, was told to take bar and chain off,to clean it good, fill it up and place it on clean cardboard.Waited 4 hours and the only oil I see leaking is from the black oval slot above bar bolt.Should I have taped that up or is this my problem.I opened bar oil cap to vent before placing on cardboard and engine was cold.Picture enclosed. Thank You

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 15, 2014 by Dominique SCHAFFNER
The fuel line in the gas-tank of my Husqvarna e series 142 has totally melted away. I have been advised to buy a new length of tubing and a new filter.! I can't see any nozzle inside the tank to connect the new line...! Do I have to scrap my machine, or is it possible to open up the tank ( to be able to gain access ..??)

Service & Maintenance Question posted March 30, 2013 by Alan B
I have a 455 Rancher that has had constant oiler problems. I recently had to replace the oiler and replaced the damaged worm gear at the same time. I also replaced the hose that supplies the oil to the bar, but don't know how to pull out the pickup hose. If I can get needle nosed pliers into the oil tank that far, do I pull it away from the insertion point? Is it something that can then easily be pushed back into the hole after it is cleaned or replaced?

I have a Husqvarna 350 chainsaw with about 50 hrs on it and the muffler keeps loosening on it. Last season It burned a hole in the body of the saw and I had to replace the body/oil tank. I would like a solution to replace or repair the muffler as it is loosening again. I have tried lock tite product. Is there an upgrade or repair available. Thank you, jim

Husqvarna 440 Gas Tank Vent/Breather Help Needed.

I have a Husqvarna 440 chainsaw that is pretty much brand new and it was not running well this weekend. It would start and idle fine but stall out after a couple of minutes under load. If I opened the gas tank lid it would work fine again for a few minutes. After some research I can tell I need to replace or clean the gas tank vent/breather. I find the part online to order but I can't find where it actually is on the saw. I took the top cover off and the starting cord assembly but can't find it anywhere. Can anyone let me know where it is (or better yet post a picture of where it is) so I can replace it.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Service & Maintenance Question posted June 19, 2013 by fred assink
I have a husqvarna 450 x torque e-series chainsaw, that is overheating, to the point that the bar is turning blue and the clutch is burning up. One of the symptoms is that it bogs down under pressure, to the point of stopping. No I am not using it at this time, I quit when I noticed how hot it was.
I know someone is going to say it is not getting enough bar chain oil, but it is!, the brake is not partially closed and the unit is clean, I am sure to clean it after I use it. I am not new at this, but I'm not arrogant enough to say that I am an expert, we use about five cords of wood a year for heating, and cut and split this wood ourselves, have been doing this for over 10 years. I'm thinking that something may be wrong with the clutch, anybody have any ideas?

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 15, 2014 by Jp Hales
Just bought a Husqvarna 445 XTorq and can't get it to start. I returned the last one for the same reason so I'm beginning to think the problem is me, not the chainsaw. I've had chainsaws before, so I know the right fuel/oil mixture and put in a good quality chain oil. I've just never had to put together a NEW chainsaw before. The instructions that throw me are "remove the clutch cover (chain brake) and take off the transportation ring. I know what the clutch cover is, but can't figure out what the transportation ring is. The teeny picture in the book just shows a screw, which does not exist on the chainsaw. So other than that, I have followed the instructions for assembling it, which is basically taking off the clutch cover and tightening the chain. The spark plug is firing also. Anyone else have problems with a be pad new 445?

I have a 455 Rancher, PN 966 03 73-20, SN 20101101161 what is the correct IPS (Parts List) to download from the Husqvarna Website? A suggestion to make downloading documents easier for the consumer is, instead of typing in the model number and getting multiple manuals or parts lists, not knowing which is the correct one. Type in the part number listed on the Serial Number Plate for the piece of Equipment. This way only the one correct OM or IPS will come up. Many Part numbers can be linked to one document, instead of many manuals listed for one model number.
