    Question:
    450 Chainsaw, 20 inch bar/chain, power issues

Starts great and cuts great on anything under 10 inches in diameter. However, whenever I try to cut anything larger (red/white oak), saw bogs down heavily and often dies, especially when I pivot and try to use any forward part of the bar. Have owned a 455 Rancher and was always pleased with its performance. Have owned 450 for about 2 months now. Seems gutless. Suggestions? Since there is no adjustment allowed for H jet any longer, I can't try to tweak myself.

455 rancher: Excessive oil under chain cover/bar...Answeredescalated2
General Product Question posted August 24, 2011 by Brad Thomas
    Question:
    455 rancher:

Excessive oil under chain cover/bar cover.very little coming off bar when held in front of cardboard than normal.

replaced: (All From Your Service Center)
    chain plate

    hose from oiler to bar
    hose into oiler to tank
    cleaned complete chain saw
    new chain
semi new bar ( about 30 cuts with it), Now New Bar.waste of
    $40.00

oil makes it to hole were the bar is but from there is doesnt seem to make it into the bar, or at least not much of it.

seems from my perspective it is seeping between hose and bar or chain not taking up the bar.could it be a defective bar.

all chains and bar are from authorized center. also use lowe smoke oil, and husq. bar oil.

if you could please call me @ 813-***-xxxx / if no answer email: removed email address

now im Frustrated added new bar, and still does the same crap.

how much pressure is the oiler suppose to produce to force the oil into the bar hole.without bar running it seeps out steady.

    Thanks, Brad

General Product Question posted August 26, 2014 by Karen Mesikapp
    Question:
455Rancher AutoTune DOES NOT WORK AT ALTITUDE. This saw has not worked from Day 1. We go to around 9000' and follow all the instructions exactly, use the fancy fuel, etc., etc.,but once started (sometimes starts right away, but sometimes takes many, many tries), as soon as I touch the gas to rev it up, it dies. Every time it fails, we take it back to the dealer, which is at around 6800', and there it works fine. We have left it with them several times, and they have run a couple tankfuls of gas thru it, and tell us it is OK, but, as soon as we go out again to altitude, it does not work. Yesterday I used it at home (6800'), and it worked fine for around half an hour. I took a break, then when I resumed, it started up, but as soon as I touched the gas, it died out. Repeated about 20 times; it never did get running again. It is back in the shop now, but I have totally lost confidence in those people. Meanwhile, I'm cutting with 20-YEAR-OLD STHIL saw that has been working fine at all altitudes. Any ideas?

    Question:
576XP piston failure at exhaust port area. what causes this and what can be done to correct this issue. This saw is used for personal use with low hours. I've seen other websites that comment about this problem and pictures of a broken piston that looks just like mine. Is Husqvarna addressing this issues for there customers?
