General Product Question posted September 6, 2011 by Andy Terrell
    Question:
I have the 24v48ls tractor with a locking rear differential. I've noticed when turning tight the tires rip up my lawn a bit consistently. Is there any adjustment? For that matter how does the rear diff know when to lock? I see the new ones are "pedal engaged".

General Product Question posted October 7, 2011 by Jerry Hill
    Question:
I recently bought a YTH21K46 mower and a HU46 Bagger, Model No.: H246SL. There were no shoulder bolts supplied with the tractor or with the bagger (see page 5 Assembly Step 1 of the bagger). I had to special order them. I received them about one week later. Then I found that the four mounting holes in the back of the tractor chassis was not threaded. I bought a 5/16- 18 tap and a T-handle to solve the problem, WHY, was this manufacturing process missed?? Also, because of this problem, I thought I had better check all grease points, sure enough nothing was greased, WHY was this overlooked. I also found that all four tires was under inflated WHY ?? Should the LOWES store where I purchased this lawnmower have serviced it before I picked it up ?? Thanks in advance for your answers. Jerry Hill

    Question:
I have a YTH1542XP. I could not find the weight of this tractor, either in the manual or the original booklet (2005). I need to move it on a pickup truck if the weight is low enough. Do you know what that is?

    YT42XLS riding tractor with 41 hours. 42" cut,...escalated100%
General Product Question posted August 4, 2014 by Wendell Radcliff
    Question:
YT42XLS riding tractor with 41 hours. 42" cut, 3-blades. Has good Kawasaki power and hydro drive. Worst cut ever. Deck design has shroud around each blade which stifles the flow of grass through deck to exit chute. Leaves a 1" wide strip of uncut grass on left blade that must be re-cut. Cleaning deck frequently, re-clogs within 5-min. Dealer leveled deck, aired tires, had no other solutions. Called Husqvarna to voice my dissatisfaction, no help at all. Don't buy, I'll never buy Husqvarna again.

    Question:
I Have the Husqvarna YTH22V42. I am trying to remove the deck so that I can add Husqvarna two stage snow blower attachment. I have the deck all but removed. What I am confused about: How to I remove the cable that is spring loaded and engages the belt to run the mower? If there is a video that explains this then by all means post the link.

    Thanks

    Question:
I have a YTH22V46. I finished mowing, then pulled the brake/neutral release rod at the back outward to allow me to push/roll the tractor into its storage location.

Normally I just press the brake pedal on the left side with my foot to re-engage, so that it will no longer roll freely, but this had no effect. The mower could still roll freely. I manually pushed the rod at the back of the mower back in, and it clicked into place, but the mower STILL was able to roll freely. I repeated this a few more times with no luck.

Searching around, 99.9% of complaints involve the opposite problem, the mower being unable to go into neutral, or parking brake unable to release, so I can't really find anything on the exact issue I'm having.

Any idea what may be going on here? Anything to look for? Thanks!

EDIT: Probably obvious, but after reading the manual what I'm referring to is the freewheel control. So the mower is stuck in "freewheel mode" and it seems that the transmission is not re-engaging.

    Question:
I own a Husqvarna YTH24V54XLS. I recently moved from a 1+ acre lot to a smaller property and have found the 54 inch deck is too big for the layout of my new smaller yard. Is it possible to replace the deck with a smaller one? If so, what deck models (complete kits) fit my tractor? I'm thinking a deck somewhere in the 42-45 inch range would be ideal.
