I own a YTH20K46 and love it. I put gas in it the other day and found out that the center of the fuel tank on the bottom has cracked. I was wondering what can be done about this? Looks like a faulty piece to me, I've looked up reviews on the exact tractor and it seems a lot of people have had this same problem.
I just bought a YTA19k42 tractor, I got it discounted because it had already been sold, returned for drive belt coming off during it's first use, and repaired. I work at this store, I know it went to repair and came back. In fact husq reps looked at it and said nothing was wrong with it...? I've used it 3 times and now the belt has come off again. My store is going to fix it again, of course, however I want to know why this is happening so I don't have to continually send this thing off for repair. Also when I try to register the tractor on husq's website i keep getting an error screen and can't get the registration to process...
next day - Well my store just picked up this mower and yes it is the drive belt that is coming off. It seems that there is nothing on the "front" drive belt pully to keep it from falling off when you depress the foot break the belt just gets so loose that over time (3 or 4 foot pedal depressions) the belt just works its way off and falls off the pully. there is no adjestment on this pulley to tighten the belt as so obviously this is going to be a repeative and ongoing proble with the tractor due to the design of this drive belt system. Any suggestions for how to stop this from happening? while it is an esay fix, just reach in and put the belt back on the pully, to have to do this every mowing sessions is not going to be acceptable.
I have a Husqvarna YTH20b42 tractor. The product number is 960430032. When I type in YTH20b42 on Husqvarna manual / part search it brings up YTH20b42T. The Yth 20b42t has an electric pto clutch, while mine just has the lever. So where is the normal YTH20b42 ? And when I type in 960430032 it brings up a mower that looks different and says it was made in 2007 while mine has a sticker that says it was made in Dec 2006. So why is it so hard to find the YTh20b42?
Thanks
Sears stock photo actually shows the LGT model number. However, though most specs match, the weight is not the same: Sears list 616 pounds where husqvarana.com lists 540 pounds.
