General Product Question posted May 14, 2012 by James Richardson
    Question:
YTH21K46 Center baffle front on deck: what is its intended purpose? I know what it does—it catches on things, bends the inward portion up into the path of the blades, and then gouges the blades. But what is the intended purpose, and what happens if I don't have one installed, other than the longer blade life?

General Product Question posted July 24, 2017 by Trevor Froese
    Question:
What in the world is the difference between all the models of husqvarna lawn mower tractors? There is the YT, YTA, GT, LTA,YTH, and also LGTH? I need a lawn tractor and it is confusing. I have my eye on a LGTH 22hp48" deck from Canadian tire. It is hard to compare to other husqvarna tractors let alone other brands. Can someone please just give me a rough description of the differences.

    Question:
I have a yth22v46 lawn tractor. The engine wont start, I believe the fuse may have blown. I cannot find the fuse under the hood like the manual says. I even removed the gas tank to see if it was hidden behind it. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Husqvarna YTH23V48 Cracked Frame 22hrs. I am very...Answeredescalated1
General Product Question posted December 6, 2011 by Charles Strickland
    Question:
    Husqvarna YTH23V48 Cracked Frame 22hrs.
I am very displeased with my Husqvarna YTH23V48 mower, it only has twenty two hours on it and the frame has cracked two times. With only eight hours the mower was delivering intermittent torque to the rear wheels, thus prohibiting the rider to start the tractor in a slow and smooth fashion. This was the first time I took it in for repair. The service technician advised me that the drive belt had a “bad spot” in it so he replaced the v-drive belt.
Only after installation of the new v-belt drive, he noticed two light cracks where the transmission is mounted to the frame. We discussed the matter and welding the two light cracks was to be a permanent repair, I authorized the repair. Now at twenty two hours the mower has started to torque again and the drive belt came off of the transmission pulley. After inspection the frame where the transmission bolts up has two new cracks much larger than the first.
This metal is unacceptable for the weight of the mower and I request that you issue a service bulletin to all owners as this has happened to me twice with very little mowing. I planned to use this mower this fall for leaf pickup and mulch hauling however, at the present time I am unable to do so. The mower technician wanted me to discuss this defect with you before he renders any further repairs to the tractor frame.
The owner’s manual for this tractor states a warranty period of five years on the frame, chassis and front axle. This frame is weak, not only myself but other have experienced this problem. Please address this issue.
    Thanks

General Product Question posted April 19, 2013 by Gary Wilson
    Question:
Ihave a 2448 YTH lawn tractor. The max mower deck height is 3.5" With my grass being very think and growing fast I really need a cutting height of 4" or greater. Is the best way to get this needed cutting height to increase the size of the four tires. I have already raised the deck as high as it will go and that is at 3.5" Any suggestions would be greatly apprecited. I bought the mower in August 2012 and it only has 25 hours on it.

    Thanks.

General Product Question posted April 27, 2012 by Lewis Derfuss
    Question:
I purchased a GT6000 Tractor/mower from Sears and front wheels severely out of alignment after about 12 hours use. Had home warrenty and technician came out, ordered spindles and other parts, changed still same problem. Found steering plate between frame rails buckled and frame bent and twisted. Issue is thin gauge metal 12 gauge use for frame.

I looked at several Husqvarna models at Lowes YTH21K46 and YTH24K48 and appear to have thicker gauge frames but cant find specs. Can you tell me what gauge metal is used on these and similar models?

Also technician shared he changes a lot of Hydostatic Transmission as they burn up in heat. Do you use same HS Transmission as Sears and what does your failure rate look like. What is your warrentee?

Do you offer manual transmission options?

    Thanks

    "Throttle/choke" control or only a throttle...escalated2
General Product Question posted April 23, 2013 by c schutte
    Question:
"Throttle/choke" control or only a throttle control?

Just purchased yth24k48 from Lowe's. User manual says to start *AND* to run tractor with throttle control in "fast" position. The user manual does not mention a "throttle/choke" positon for the throttle control. Tractor has separate choke button for cold starts.

The "Easy start-up" guide that came with tractor says, when starting, push throttle control forward into "choke" position. After starting, pull lever backward into "run" position. However, the picture on the "easy start-up" guide does not indicate a separate choke button. The guide is copy-righted 2010 and might be incorrect for our model?

Do we run the tractor with the throttle pushed all the way forward until it dips into postion or do we start engine in that position and then pull the throttle back a bit? Our old tractor died if left in the throttle/choke position but did not have a separate choke button. The yth24k48 does not die when left in fully forward throttle position. We don't want to run the mower when less than fully powered or when slightly choked but the discrepancy is a bit confusing.

    Thank you.

    Question:
I've been considering a purchase of a YTH 24H48 or YTH 24H54. I saw a YTA24H48 in Lowes yesterday. What is the difference between YTH and YTA models?

Also, what is the maximum height for the cutting decks on these models? I probably won't need to cut any higher than ~4 inches but would like to be able to move the deck up higher out of the way while towing a wagon, etc.

    Thank you.

    Question:
I have a Husqvarna YTH20B42 with 130 hours. Last week my rider would not go up hills and then stopped going up any incline. I replaced the drive belt that I bought from Sears. It works better but is still slow going up hills. Do you have any information for me? Other information Product number(960430032) and serial number(121806A001232). This also has the tuff torq transmission (7A545084180) Serial #468T0038056. I stopped at a dealer and they said to call you so I tried this site. Let me know.

    Thanks.
