The electric start does not work. It runs when I pull start. I purchased a Husqvarna HU800AWD mower from Lowes this May and initially was happy with the purchase. This changed yesterday when my wife was out mowing the yard (June 27th), she called up to me and stated the mower blade had just shot out from under the mower and flew about 20 feet.
Luckily the blade was discharged out the side of the mower and not the back of the mower where it would have caused a serious injury.
I took a look and initially thought the bolt holding the mower had come lose and fallen out, but on closer examination, it appears the bolt sheared off and released the blade.
My understanding is that there are typically shear pins on the drive shaft of a mower blade in the case you hit something, but it wouldn't shear the bolt holding the blade on. This seems like a serious issue and a concern for others that also own this type of mower.We have used the mower 3 times. Our yard is not perfect, and I am sure we have hit a few rocks, but no more than with any other mower we've owned over the past 20 years.
We purchased the mower at Lowes in Hudson, MA and brought it back.. the best they could do is send it out for service to get it repaired as it was 10 days past their 30 day return policy. I understand they were following their policy, but were somewhat disappointed with the outcome.
Needless to say, I am OK getting it repaired, but am a bit nervous about mowing my lawn with this mower going forward. this guy has worked great the 3 times i've used it. starts every time. but recently it didnt start at all. Well it started but I tilted it up and it died. then i dumped the old gas and reloaded and it started for 30 sec. then died. then i cleaned it up, got some quick start and got it started for 30 sec. before it died. Whats up? and does my warranty cover this (june 4 purchase date). Rear wheels have slight slack which allows them to lean, "look crooked". I removed the o-ring and thin washer and replaced them with a large washer slightly thicker than what was removed. Secured nut, wheel turns smoothly, wheels do not have slack and are vertical. Any harm that can happen with the removal of o-ring and thin washer. I saw a review where the rear wheels were crooked and they cracked "broke". Please advise, Jim, Easley

In the picture the oil goes in the top of the mower, but in reality it goes in under the top, and is very hard to get to. We had to get a tiny funnel, which makes the oil go in very slow. Also, cannot find an exit for the oil, so assume one must turn it upside down to drain. Are we correct?

Is it possible to adjust and/or lengthen the cable that engages the drive? I can only move the lever about an inch before the mower starts to take off. It is hard to keep up with mowing around trees and my hands are sore from trying to move slowly while being spread so far open. I noticed some sort of coupling in the middle of the cable but I am not sure that if I attempt to adjust it that I would do any good.

- Service & Maintenance Question posted July 10, 2017 by Mike AdkinsQuestion:I have a Poulan model WE4TN22SA with Tecumseh engine LEV100340038C removed Tecumseh carb. to clean, cannot remember how the choke and remote throttle cable plate that mounts on top of carb work together with the linkage,the choke just stay closed and the plate and the choke linkage are not hook together are there any diagrams or pictures or what site I can go to that shows the removal/installation of carb. Should have taken a picture or made diagram
