Weedeater one warranties are not worth the powder to blow...Answeredescalated6100%
Warranty Question posted August 22, 2011 by Sandra Wuokko
    Question:
Weedeater one warranties are not worth the powder to blow them up. My weedeater is only just over a year old. The belt slipped off from it twice and wore a hole through the mandrel cover. The second time it must have bent the blade and brotyke the shaft, I cannot even get the warranty to cover it. Is this all you sell is junk? I really think Weedeater is taking advantage of people for this type of mower that does not hold up. I am on social security and cannot afford to buy this type of trash with no warranty.

Warranty Question posted July 10, 2011 by m norpel
    Question:
Has the we261 transmission been updated so I wont have this problem again?
    Details:

i bought the new rider 7/1 , took it home and it mowed 15 feet before the transmission went out. Both a company employee and a few warranty shops i spoke to said the transmission is a problem and is too weak for the unit.  So now i wait as my grass grows butt high and my new mower is in the shop. will the new transmisson be stronger or is it the same as the original one (any updating). thanks, mikeCry

Warranty Question posted September 12, 2014 by toby moreland
    Question:
I have a weedeater one, we261, model #9602400001 01, serial # 010811L001970, purchased in 2011. a recall on the friction wheel is in place for my model, but excludes my serial # for some reason. I have the same exact issue that is reflected in the service bulletin #B2010002015, but the service company statess the wheel is not under warrantee. They also stated that the wheel itself cannot be ordered, that the entire transmission assembly must be replaced at a cost of $320 plus tax and labor! This cost is more than the mower is worth! Please advise why this fault in manufacturing that hundreds of other people are also experiencing, is not covered by the bulletin, or at minimum, how I can obtain just the friction wheel...I can replace the $20 part myself. Please dont reply and say i must buy the entire transmission! thank you for your help in this matter.

Warranty Question posted June 20, 2014 by Joy Flynn
    Question:
I purchased a WeedEater One lawn mower in April 2011 with an extended 4-year warranty. I had never had a problem until this season when it suddenly locked up and would not move in forward or reverse. I went thru the process of filing a claim, and my mower was picked up....evidently the only company that services these machines is in Knoxville, AR, and I am in Fort Smith, AR, which is over 100 miles. They told me the repair time would be 2-3 weeks, which I think is ridiculous anyway, but I didn't have a choice. I waited 2 weeks and called Hoyt's Repair Service, the lady told me that a new gear box had been ordered and that I should have my mower back by the end of the week. Today is Friday, and I hadn't heard back so I called again. This time a tech tells me that the transmission has been ordered but has not arrived. This next Monday, June 23, will make 3 weeks I have been without my mower. I have already had to hire someone to mow it once and looks like I may have to do it again. I am a widow raising a grandchild and I have limited income and resources. The repair time is HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE in my opinion....why did I bother paying extra for an extended warranty and then have to wait at least 3 weeks for a repair? I must tell you that I am very upset, to say the least. I was very happy with the mower, but now I am reading and hearing a lot of negative comments. I had always believed WeedEater to be a reliable brand, but this has proven me wrong. That being said, I will NEVER purchase another WeedEater product or one that is made by the same company. Fort Smith, AR is a city of more than 80,000.....WHY do you not have a repair service that is closer than 100 miles? Please help me to get my mower back quickly....I really cannot afford to pay to have it mowed again. I'm in a bind here....can you help? My email address is joyofsoap@yahoo.com, or if you wish to communicate by phone, my cell number is (479) 414-2418. Hoping to get this matter resolved quickly.

    Question:
I've had this weed eater brand blower for about a year now, it came with a 2 year warranty. About 3 weeks ago it would not start it had new gas in it and I replaced the spark plug. Still would not start. Call and found a repair center took it there. After going back and forth with them for 3 weeks was told that weed eater was not going to stand behind the warranty. They told me it had scaring on the cylinder walls, I'm still trying to understand how that is my fault.

Warranty Question posted October 12, 2012 by Jesse Juarez
    Question:
My Weedeater One has been in an authorized repair shop since 28 July 2012. They keep telling me it's because they had been waiting on parts. It's now Oct 12th and my warrenty has expired. The shop suggested I contact you about extending my warrenty by an equal amount of time since once I finally pick it up, and should it break again, they would not be able to fix it under warrenty guidelines. I feel it should not take months to get a lawnmower fixed due to a lack of available parts. This delay is not my fault and I feel I should not be penalized for this.

Warranty Question posted August 7, 2012 by gerald nemet
    Question:
I purchased a Weed Eater One riding lawn mower on July 24 of 2010. I brought the mower into an authorized service center in April and was told that the transmission was bad and it was covered by the warranty. Now, almost 4 months later, the transmission finally is received and the service center says that the mower has a defective frame and the transmission can not be installed. They said that they would contact Husqvarna for approval to get a buyout. They have not heard back from anyone and Home Depot has not been able to help me. This is a mower that was hardly used and should not have had these problems. Who can I speak to about expediting this process? I have been without my mower the entire summer and just want it fixed or replaced.

    Thank you,

Warranty Question posted July 21, 2012 by Russ Carey
    Question:
I have a weedeater one 26 in riding mower that I have had for a year now. In the first week the brake cable broke which I replaced at a cost of $45.00. Last week I had to replace the mandril assembly at a cost of $53.00, and now the transaxle assembly needs replacing at a cost of $340.00 which I refuse to pay for. What can do since it is still under warranty?
