Being that the unit carries a 2 year manufacturer's warranty my best advise is to have it evaluated by a Weed Eater authorized service technician.
In a situation like this that you describe there could be a number of things to troubleshoot; some being easy fixes to other requiring extensive knowledge in the product itself.

When I look at the schematic breakdown of both units the p4500 has a different transmission unit and as a result they have a different arbor size (where you literally screw it in). In most cases parts will not be interchangable neither is it recommended from the manufacture. Thanks again for contacting Answer Army!

Thanks for contacting us through the Answer Army, I was able to track down a California OM for your saw. I've attached a link below where you can view the OM of the 338xpt. Make sure you are using high test gas and using a Husqvarna 2-cycle oil to mix your gas 50:1. If this was a used saw you have purchased make sure your oiler is in working order to avoid experiencing failures from the bar and chain. Enjoy your new Husqvarna saw!

Thanks for contacting us at Answer Army. It sounds like the deck needs to be re-adjusted because most likely it was not correctly set up at the retailer. Your retailer may be able to fix the adjustments but your best bet will be to have an authorized Husqvarna dealer check it out and get it to an even height.

Thanks for contacting Answer Army. To the best of our knowledge any universal attachment will fit the Poulan PP133, and other brands to consider are Poulan, Weedeater, Troybuilt, and Husqvarna. Many of these attachments can be found at Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears, and Wal-Mart.

Thanks for contacting us at Answer Army, it is not normal for your tractor to be reading higher numbers measured on the hour meter than actually used. This meter is very important for maintenance schedules and is best utilized when it works correctly. The best thing to do in this situation would be to have the tractor inspected by an authorized dealer.

But to determine the exact problem it would be best to have the unit evaluated by an authorized service tech. I've included a link below to a dealer locator.
Being that your unit is so new, Husqvarna can arrange to have it picked up and taken to have warranty work performed, make sure you have your proof of purchase.

Dear Kris,
The LGT has 5 more horsepower compared to the YTH 2042 when running correctly. Your dealer will be the best source of information regarding the engine status and recourse to resolving the issue. When the LGT is back in action and running properly I have no doubt that you will be pleased with its performance but untill the authorized dealer evaluates the situation and handles it accordingly.
