General Product Question posted June 16, 2012 by Louis Bohm
    Question:
A few weeks ago I purchased a HU775H and it comes with a high lift mulching blade. Honestly it should be called a clumping blade. As I mow I get huge clumps of grass left behind. I have never seen performance like this. My last 2 mowers (Toros) never did this.

When I look at the clippings I see very long clippings. With other mowers I would get very small clippings. At first I thought this was a problem with the blade not being sharp so I sharpened it. No change.

With the bagger I am even getting some clumping. Though not as bad as with out it.

Anyone know what the problem is?

    Question:
I purchased a HU725EX just last week. The engine bogs down when mulching, the grass is not wet, and I'm not cutting too deep. A 190cc engine should not have any problems cutting in them conditions. What should I look for?

    Question:
I recently purchased the HU725AWD/BBC lawnmower. I have used it 3 times. I pushed the Throttle Lever to STOP today and the mower wouldn't turn off. After about 10 minutes, I was finally able to get it to turn off. What can I do to remedy this problem?

General Product Question posted July 15, 2013 by Dean Goad
    Question:
There seems to be a design flaw in the HU800AWD in what I will call for now the rear door baffle insert(the half moon shaped plastic piece on the inside of the rear door). It is the exact same size on the smaller mowers(which seem to be flush with the mowing chamber) as the AWD but the AWD has extra length in the rear body(probably to accomodate the AWD for the rear)which causes clippings to build up while mulching then drop out all at once. This is not right. It would seem that this model needs it own rear baffle insert rather than using the same one from the smaller mowers. Yes, I took it to a dealer to have it checked out and they said everything was fine other than the R.P.M.'s were a little low so they set them to factory specs. and they called Husqvarna about the rear baffle insert and Husqvarna's response to me was to send a copy of the tip sheet from the manual about not mowing more than one third the length of the grass and suggested trying to mow skinnier strips in the lawn. 1) My mower is set to 3 inches and I try not to let it get longer than 4 inches. 2) Husqvarna can NOT leagally advertise a mower as a 22inch then suggest to only mow 11 inches at a time(this suggestion was just plain insulting and does NOTHING to solve the problem), besides, I tried it anyways and it still does not help. Grass clippings still amass on the newly created rear shelf of the AWD mower then spit out randomly when the shelf gets full rather than evenly dispersing them like it should(but it DID leave only 40 piles of lawn killing spots of mulch piles rather than 80). So my questions are these 1) How can this be fixed? and 2) How do I contact Husqvarna directly when you have abosolutly nothing to offer to fix this problem? Even if a proper sized rear door baffle insert would impede clippings from going into the bag(which I don't think it would), a spring loaded version that would retract when the rear door is lifted should'nt be that hard to come up with. Forgive my frustration but I'm about at my wits end. I paid alot of extra money for this mower over other brands and models and my expectations of how it should work(as a mulcher in this case) are NOT way out from left field in my estimation, not to mention that the call center refuses to give out any direct numbers to Husqvarna or any useful advise in this case and even the dealer gave me the run around(they held onto the mower for about a week before they even called Husqvarna and ONLY after I called them back) and even lied on the reciept, they wrote "test drive in lawn ok".. There is not a single blade of grass on their property. I asked when I came in so I could show them what was happening but they said then that they did'nt have any grass yet still put it on the bill they they did check it out on the lawn.

General Product Question posted June 21, 2013 by Al Cybart
    Question:
Purchased the HU800AWD and it constantly leaves deposits of grass when I am either mulching or using side discharge. I always cut when grass is dry and I am not cutting much off. Love the mower itself, but this is not something I am willing to put up with. Have been working 33 years in the turf maintenance field and have never run across this problem before. Does anyone have a solution or have experienced a similar situation?
