I need to buy a new gas cap for my Poulan Pro PP4620 AVHD chain saw. I believe my old cap's vent was ruined by Ethenol gasoline. I live in the Covington, La. area. Any assistance will be appreciated.

I purchased a Poulan Pro PP4218AVX chain saw on 7 July 2012 and was told that I would be receiving a carrying case within 4 to 8 weeks. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone, was transferred 6 times and every single person stated that they did not handle that particular offer. I was even transferred to one person twice. I now have 3 different phone numbers, but no answer. I spoke to Jay, Amanda, Shannon, Lauren and Melissa. Mind you, I like the saw. I would just like to receive the promised carrying case. Is it on its way?

My bar adjust pin broke on a pp5020av. How do you get the screw out to install the new pin? It seems like you would just be able to unscrew the whole thing, but it just keeps turning in the housing.

Poulan PP4620AVX with revolutionary no tool plastic tension adjusment.
Recently, well Apr. 2011, but first real use now, purchased a Poulan PP4620AVX. Plastic no tool chain adjuster is in plain English "crap". Poulan should send everyone the old clutch cover chain break, part #530054819! Seems everyone is having trouble with chain tension and I believe it's because of this new set up. You need the 2 bolts to hold the bar in place and a solid screw to keep the chain tight, not a plastic cheapy.

Incidentally can someone tell me where to find the serial number? I called Poulan and the person on the phone didn't even know and couldn't help me with my request for a replacement part for this problem. I should not have to pay!

Ridiculous,I say,for the part needed to BE NOT AVAILABLE

I need the ring that tightens the pole extension lock jaws.

Made of flimsy plastic,and broke after two uses.


So this part will cost the company maybe $2 to injection mold,pack ,inventory and ship to me.

But no, I will have to return the saw (which I found to be the best one because of its features and price)

And buy the Competitor's unit with a slightly better engineered extension locking mechanism.
