    Question:
A week or so ago, I posted a question asking when I would recieve the chainsaw carry case for the Poulan Pro I purchased August 2011 and have not received an answer back from Answer Army......have you found out any information for me? do you have a contact number other than what is listed in the infromation packet? the number listed does not work. I have been told in the past to wait 4 weeks then 6 weeks then 8 weeks and then they do not know when I will get the case. this is not good business practices to advertise something then not follow through. This was a gift for my husband and I would like to give him the carry case that I should have recieved over a year ago. Please let me know if you can or cannot help me. Thank you. My e-mail address is terriedurden@bellsouth.net

    Question:
At the same time that I registered my Poulan chainsaw, I also sent the information concerning the free chainsaw case that was offered with my purchase. Since this information was entered on the 9th of February, how can I go about checking the status of this order?

General Product Question posted November 28, 2012 by Terrie Durden
    Question:
August 14, 2011 I purchased and registered a Poulan Pro Chainsaw online and waited 4-6 weeks for the case to arrive. Every few months I call to see when I will receive the carry case and each time I have been told they don't know because they are out of stock. Today I called the number and got nothing but recordings to press numbers and then the phone line just kept disconnecting me. I have waited 1 year and over 4 months now and would like to know when I will be receiving my carry case. I still have the confirmation number I was given. Please help!!

    Question:
Chain stops in mid cut. I just purchased a Poulan Pro 4218avx chainsaw. Everything seems fine until I start to cut. The chain will stop mid cut no matter what. It doesn't stall. The chain just stops. The gas is fresh and the gas/oil mixture is correct. I'm using Poulan Bar and Chain oil. The chain is tighten as it should be. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ever heard of anyone finding a ROCK inside their saw?escalated

Have you ever heard of something like this?
There are old stories about auto workers playing pranks on unsuspecting car owners by hiding a soda bottle, etc... inside a door panel so it'll make a mysterious noise and drive the owner and his mechanic nuts. Well, I found such a prank. Not in a car. But, in a Poulan chain saw.

Dad gave me an old Model 2000 saw to fix up. It's at least 20-25 years old (no chain brake). The bar/chain oiling line inside the reservoir had crumbled with age and needed replacement.
So, I removed an access cover over the oil pickup filter and dumped out the broken pieces of tubing and...a rock.
Not just any old rock that could've gotten in through the filler hole, either.
It's just big enough it won't fit through the hole AND it's got factory Poulan green paint on part of it.
The saw was assembled around it!!!
It didn't appear to have caused any damage, though. It was funny to see it "ker-thunk" on the ground at my feet.
My brain had to pause a moment, "That's a rock. What the ___ ?" Some worker in Shreveport LA had a weird sense of humor.
The saw has run just fine all these years, including a hiatus of about 9 years. I just changed the spark plug, added some fresh premix and a small tweak to the carb's high speed screw and it runs like a champ!!!

FYI regarding ethanol damaged fuel line and possibly filter...escalated
General Product Question posted August 7, 2013 by Thomas Corbett
    Question:
FYI regarding ethanol damaged fuel line and possibly filter ?
    Details:

This is more of an FYI than a question; I bought a PP5020AV saw new in Oct of 2012. Used it half a dozen times over the course of the winter. I always use "Stabil" fuel stablizer, at the end of the season I drained the fuel and bar oil tanks and put it in the case for storage.. Last week I got it out to cut up a tree that had fallen, filled it with fresh fuel and bar oil. It started very hard and would idle but would sputter and quit past idle speed.. I thought maybe the fuel filter was clogged so I pulled the fuel line from the tank and proceeded to remove the filer when it was twisted and pulled from the line the inner wall of the line pulled out of the outer wall and stayed attached to the filter. The filter was pjust about plugged solid as well.  I  took it up the road to a small engine repair shop to get a new line and filter. Between myself and the owner of the shop we have more than 100 years of combined experience with gasoline engines from small stuff to Motorcycles and even race cars. Neither of us had ever seen this before ! Fuel line and filter replaced and the saw runs perfect again ! I have also had that fuel cap issue with a couple of saws including this one due to the ethanol !

General Product Question posted July 26, 2017 by david boot
    Question:
    Gentlemen,
I have been using your pole saw, PPB40PS, and am very pleased with the cutting performance and battery capacity. I had difficulty with making the under cuts. The saw kept pushing me out of the cut and I had to keep repeating the cut. I have added a modification that stops that problem and also enables to cut off smaller limbs on the bottom of larger limbs.
I have added a three inch long piece of aluminum bar stock to the nose of the bar. The bar stock projects beyond the chain one and one half inches and is angled slightly outward. This modification has really enhanced the performance.
Long ago and near by, I used a Homelite saw with a three inch finger on the bottom of the bar that was used brushing out small stuff.
I assume your chain is an Oregon 91?
I store the pole saw with the bar horizontal and the oil reservoir on the bottom, no oil leaks.
I have been using your Wild Thing, chain saw for over fifteen years. The saw lasts about five years that represents thirty cords of wood.
    Thanks,
