After using my newly purchased Poulonpro chainsaw model P4018WT, for about 20 minutes, I stopped to check the fuel, but then could not restart it. Menards advised me that I had to have it serviced. I was told that it was clogged with saw dust. Why would a new saw clog up this quickly? Is this a manufacturer's defect? I was usingit to cut the tops off of four inch fence posts.
Bought PoulanPro Chainsaw PP3416 by mail from Heartland America. Wouldn't start. Found that spark plug was dirty, small part melted from overheating, etc. It was obvious the chain saw had been used and abused. Called Heartland America whose service rep said PoulonPro guaranteed for 30 days. Called PoulonPro's service rep who said they give no guarantee for "used product" that we bought. E-mailed Heartland America to advise us how to send the product back for re-imbursement; they have not answered to date; What do we do next ?
Can you tell me the coresponding Oregon part numbers for the chains for the ES-350, model nr 952801954 (16" electric) and PLN1514, model nr 95202357 (14" electric) chainsaws (i.e. S49, S56, etc.)?
Chain oil leakage: I recently purchased a Poulan Pro 5020AV. After using it for the second time, chain oil started leaking. I found a puddle of chain oil in the case when I started to use it a week later. There are reports of this problem in the reviews of this saw on Loews. I checked to be sure that the cap is tight and the gasket clean. Am I overlooking something? What is happening here?
Chain popped off my new Poulan pro 18" chainsaw. After taking the cover, bar, and chain off, cleaning it, and re-attaching everything, I can't get the chain to move on the bar. The silver sprocket(?) wont turn at all.
What should I do?
Thanks
Chainsaw will not start.
I have a new pp5020av chainsaw that ran for less than 1 tank of gas before quitting. Before quitting for the final time, it would quit after each cut when I would release the trigger. Before it quit for the final time, it would start right back up. It is running on new gas with the oil received in the case. The chain brake is not set and the chain moves freely. I cleaned the air filter, but that did not help. I let it sit overnight, but it still doesn't start using the quick start instructions.
