    Question:
My pln1514 is leaking chainbar oil everywhere, all of the shelves, floor, etc...
Is there a known issue with these? We only used it a bit, then stored it on the shelf. Today, I noticed oil everywhere.

    Question:
My 2003 Poulan Pro 260 18" 42cc won't idle. It will run wide open but when I let go of the throttle it shuts down. Need to use the chock lever to get it running. I recently replaced the spark plug, cleaned the air filter, tried 2 different cans of gas thinking it was a fuel issue. The fuel lines look good as does the priming bulb. It was running fine for a while that morning, then started acting up. Not sure what to do, any recomendations would be appreciate. Thanks

PP4620AVHD purchased 3/10/2010 chain tensioner problem
This saw is great except the fact that I can only use it to make one good cut or a few small ones and the chain loosens big time. Apparently this is a known issue? Can you help with this please? If there are parts that will help and/or you can send me that would be exceptional thanks Bill

Service & Maintenance Question posted April 15, 2012 by David Odell
    Question:
    Chainsaw will not start.
I have a new pp5020av chainsaw that ran for less than 1 tank of gas before quitting. Before quitting for the final time, it would quit after each cut when I would release the trigger. Before it quit for the final time, it would start right back up. It is running on new gas with the oil received in the case. The chain brake is not set and the chain moves freely. I cleaned the air filter, but that did not help. I let it sit overnight, but it still doesn't start using the quick start instructions.

    Question:
Poulan Pro 400e electric chainsaw - Not oiling

I am on my second Poulan Pro 400e electric chainsaw this month. Last one, the on/off switch broke the first day. The new one doesn't oil. Sounds the same as what this owner experienced:
    http://answerarmy.com/posts/9b527e0118

Brand new saw. Filled with fresh oil. But oil doesn't make it to the blade.

Poulan customer service (by phone) advised on returning, rather than dealing with a repair. Checking here to see if there is anything reasonable I can do to get this saw running, or if I'm on to saw number three.

Service & Maintenance Question posted September 13, 2011 by Donald Stine
    Question:
I have just purchased a Poulan Pro 400E electric with 18 inch bar and it is a blast to use. I have been running it a total of maybe 3 or 4 hours though and I notice that the bar & chain oil has not gone down at all, and there is no oil residue anywhere. There is no smoke to indicate the chain isn't getting oil either though. I hesitate to continue using it until I am sure the chain is getting the oil it needs. I am not using Poulan oil, but it is good oil, recommended by my local outdoor tools shop.

    Question:
I have purchased 2 PoulanPro PP4218AVX Cahinsaws. One is about 13 months old and it will not start when it is hot. I push the primer bulb and nothing is sucked into the carb and all it does is pressurize the tank. I was told that I needed a new carb. So I bought one. No help. I went to Lowes and purchased a new PP4218AVX a month ago because I need a chainsaw at the house. Now this one does the same thing. Both units do the same thing and now I have two units that I cannot use. The nearest service center to me is over a two hour drive. Any Ideas? This was purchased for home use.

Service & Maintenance Question posted May 15, 2013 by Caleb Bixby
    Question:
Poulan Pro 4218avx chain brake issue. I have had a few issues with the clutch on this saw, and took off the chain brake while working on it. The spring loaded piece in the chain brake popped out of position and I am having a lot of trouble getting back to where it needs to be so I can put the kit chain brake back on the saw. I need to be able to line up all the screws with the proper hole. Any advice on how to do this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Service & Maintenance Question posted September 25, 2012 by Robert Maxwell
    Question:
I bought a Poulan Pro model pp5020av last week. When I tried to use it, it started and idled ok, but even after warmup, it would quit each time I opened the throttle. After a few more tries, I got it to run long enough to make one cut in a 8 inch log. When I released the throttle, it quit and would not restart. I then found gas leaking out through the center of the gas cap. I did find the cap was missing the retainer. Does the unit require the fuel tank to remain sealed while operating, or is the leaking cap and the run problems seperate problems.
