Service & Maintenance Question posted October 13, 2012 by Timothy Stokesbary
    Question:
Aloha, We have a Z4218 zero turn mower. I used the mower and put it away last week with no problems. Today I pulled the two drive release rods in the back of the mower and released the parking break, pulled the mower out of its parking spot as always and re-engaged the brake and drive rods. The mower starts but won't go back into drive mode. When I move the mower control arms nothing happens, but I cannot push the mower even with the brake of so it feels like it's engaged. No sound change when controle arms are operated ether. Belt is fine and in place, deck operates, break off or on doesn't matter. Mower won't move. Help Stokes.

    Question:
Are there any recalls for the Husqvarna rz419 or extended warranties covering deck problems?
    Details:

From the moment i purchased this zero turn i had problems off and on with the deck spring coming loose or the deck belt jumping off. Usually the deck belt would come off when the PTO was engaged and on occasion it would jump off while cutting. The deck tensioner spring would come unhooked at random. Recently its gotten worse. I have put new blades on it and replaced the deck belt. I am having alot of vibration in the tensioner as if its not tight enough. When i purchased the mower the I-Bolt was tight about halfway down the threads. Now i have it tightened all the way to the eye and it still isnt good enough. I just installed a new spindle because it appears one of the blades got loose at one point and wore down the star on the bottom of the spindle so that the blade wouldnt lock in place. The other spindle feels tight and has no wobble. I checked the bearings in the tensioner pulley and it feels tight with no wobble. This is the third deck tensioner spring i have installed on the deck in two months because the springs keep breaking at the hook. This is getting very frustrating to say the least.

    Any suggestions?

Belt came off MZ52LE, can't get it back on?2

    Howdy!

I have a new Husqvarna MZ52LE. The mower deck belt came off. I've tried everything to place it back on by the instructions I've seen. No matter how far or much I move the spring loaded pulls the belt will not fit over the other pully. The belt is very stiff and heavy duty. It just seems the belt is to short. I know it came off so it must go back on. I just need to know the trick to placing it back on. I don't want to have to take the mower in for what should be a simple fix.

Service & Maintenance Question posted July 2, 2014 by David Nischwitz
    Question:
Bought the RZ3016 in May and have run it about 5 hours since purchasing. All has been great till got back from vacation, started it up and have not been able to take it out of garage without the engine dieing when I either disengage the parking brake or any other combination of things. The deck is at highest level, blades disengage and the steering arms in full neutral. Help? Have no idea what is causing the machine to die.

    Thanks, David

    Question:
Can you email me instructions for bleeding air out of the hydraulic lines of my Husqvarna zero-turn mower ?

I have been having a LOT of problems over the last few years with losing power to my wheels - no response from the steering inputs (typically just one side ). The shop tells me that I can't operate it if temperatures are too cold - "it introduces air into the hydraulic system" they say. Can you email instructions so I can bleed the air out myself ?

    Question:
Changing drive belt on RZ4824F was a nightmare of trial and error. The instructions that came with the mower are totally lacking any tricks/technique/detailed process.

Finally got belt off/on by taking the spring off the idler pulley but it was hell getting it back on. What is the right process and what tools/tricks are out there to make this an easier job.

    Thanks,

    Ken
