Having an issue keeping the belt on the pulleys when dropping the deck. Mows fine with the deck fully raised, but as soon as I drop the deck even one notch all hell breaks loose. I started checking the level of the mower deck, when noticed only one side had the deck lift arm spring in place. Purchased the mower used, which in it's first couple months did great. But if only had one lift arm spring, perhaps it's lost some of it's strength and is bouncy enough to cause the belts to wobble off. It's a big enough spring you'd think I'd notice it came off, so am guessing it wasn't there to begin with. Could this be a root cause of the issue? I've all ready replaced the idler pulley, probably unnecessary but it was the first best SWAG at the time.
Thanks

Now will not start, nor does it make any sounds at an attempt to start. Have checked the battery, gas, oil and fuses....everything is in place as should be (brake, and other levers)...what can cause this??? Don't know if it is the mower, or the motor???
About 1 yr ago and 50 hrs on my 52 inch this takes place.
1. first machine had defective drive and knock in the engine.
2. front roller on mower breaks in first 2 hrs use
3. about 10 hrs. a mower pulley falls off. had to take back to dealer
3. about 15 hrs use, one blade falls off and I had to buy a 3 piece blade set according to my dealer.
4. machine stalls when mowing semi moist grass because the cuttings will not through out and clear the housing. I have to raise deck and or back up to clear machine.
5. Called dealer and said, in the first 6 mts use, the battery would not hold a charge, charging issue or bad battery. He said battery was not covered. Well, my mechanic said it is the battery for sure. So, I have to buy a new battery.
6. about 40 hrs. The muffler guard falls off the muffler.
7. I can not believe this company does not provide an email so customers can write to them and tell them of their experiences.
8. I compare this unit to my Toro which has 250 hrs. and never been to the repair center. Nothing falls off. Toro cost $8,500.00 and my Husqavarna cost $5,600.00.
9. I know this is a quality control issue plus my dealer seems to care less. Why should I have t buy a battery after just 6 mts. and I also use this unti 7 mts a yr.
I would like the company to contact me in hopes they can improve their machine.
I know there must be another way but hopefully they will get this.
Why would they not

I have an RZ4621 that is having issues in not being able to go up hills. I have replaced the drive belt, and purged the hydrostatic transmission. My concern is the tension of the drive belt. It appears to be "locked" in place, the only way I can increase or decrease the belt tension is via a hammer. The repair videos show this as being able to be moved by hand, which is logical having the spring providing the necessary correct tension.
How do I free up the tensioner so the spring provides the proper amount on tension to the drive belt? I assume it has to do with loosening the nut shown on the attached photo, however do I loosen the upper or lower nut? I tried both a bit to no avail, however I didn't want to lose any structural integrity, so I retightened them.
As an aside, when I increased the belt tension via hammer, I no longer experience the power loss on hills.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
