My Husquvarna CZ4817 lost 3 engine mounting bolts causing a slight rotation of engine on mower deck. This slight rotation caused the oil drain tube (tube with 90 degree elbow hanging down into the hole in the deck) to start hitting the edge of hole because of engine vibrations. (I do not know how long this has been happening but I have a series of issues which I am trying to rectify;) The vibrations led to the oil drain tube from the engine to actually break while I had the engine running just to check on another problem (overheating and shutting off?) Ran engine at high speed about 15 minutes - all ok. Then went to lower speed and wanted to actually drive mower to see if it shuts down again. That is when I noticed engine oil all over mower deck and floor. Was able to get remaining threads from oil drain pipe out and inserted new pipe.
Problem: Oil ran all over mower deck and ran thru deck holes onto the electric clutch. I know oil on a clutch does not work. Took a screwdriver and paper towel into space where clutch is and was wiping oil from the clutch surfaces. Wanted to remove clutch and hand clean better. Can you spray solvent/alchol of some type to clean clutch surface? Could not get clutch off so how do you do this? In case I have to buy a new clutch. Could not get crescent wrench on ring with the flat sides while trying to unloosen attaching bolt.
Thanks for your time.
