    Question:
After my 13 year old husky 'died',I purchased a new 455 rancher.
I used it for 30 min., put it in the garage, and it leaked all the bar oil out. I took it back, they said it was an oil line. Put it back in the garage, it leaked all the oil out, again.
I took it back, they still have it. All in all, since september, i used the saw for 30 minutes.

Warranty Question posted May 6, 2014 by Tom Smith
    Question:
As a retired Senior Citizen, when I purchase products, I do so based on experience and trust in the company I purchase from. I believe that great products also typically provide great support.
I’ve used Husqvarna equipment for quite some time and typically had a good experience.
I purchased a Husqvarna Chainsaw, Model 240 on June 8, 2013. I have used the Chainsaw a total of 3 times since my purchase date. (Purchased from Sears) My local Sears does not repair your products.
The latest experience trying to use the chainsaw, the chainsaw would not start. I took the saw to Foster Lawn care as they do warranty work for Husqvarna equipment.
The technician mentioned how great condition the saw was, I let him know I never had a chance to use it.
After 5 weeks of waiting on parts, when I finally arrive to pick up my saw, I’m told I need to pay $60 for repair on my saw that I believe should be covered under warranty. I was told the part is not covered.
Now I have saw at a repair shop asking for money while my chainsaw in under warranty.

    My chainsaw is at:
    Fosters Lawn and Saw Shop

Warranty Question posted October 11, 2012 by John Butzler
    Question:
bought model 445 husqvarna s/n 08400052 in November 2008, saw worked great, have maybe 2-3 hrs cutting time and now it does not start. haven't used it for about 1 yr, but it always started right up. Took it to service station and they tell me it has scoring on the cyclinders and the pistons and rings are bad. I bought this tool on high recommendations from professional tree trimmers, needed something I could depend on. I understand there is a 2 year warranty. I am looking for resolution to this problem, talked with Husqvarns and they recommended this website. Is there anything you can do for me. This saw was barely used, you should stand behind this beyond the 2 yrs. I've been in service industry for 25 years, I understand how warranties work. That being said, there are certain circumstances that a factory can change the rules, I know, I've done it!! Maybe there were some defective parts installed in these saw in 2008. I spent a lot of money on this saw because I thought it would last me for a long time. VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!

    Respectfully yours

Warranty Question posted November 23, 2016 by Alan Barnhart
    Question:
Brand new 450 came with 18" bar/chain , .325 pitch and .058 gauge. Worked fine for 4 hours then threw first chain. Put on a new chain, adjusted tension. Within 5 minutes it threw that chain. Both chains ruined - cost $50 - and saw has been used less than 5 hours!

Also, Husqvarna website lists dealers / warranty shops in my area, 62703, but 90% of them haven't been a Husqvarana dealer in years!

Any help on the chain issue would be appreciated!

Chain Brake Band Broke... 2nd time I generally love...escalated
Warranty Question posted August 3, 2013 by Steven George
    Question:
Chain Brake Band Broke... 2nd time

I generally love Huqvarna chainsaws, I own three now, a 460 Rancher, 372xp and my newest, a 550xp. I own 60 Acres and have been doing a lot of clearing, as well as log building and of course I heat with wood (and I live in northern Minnesota). Needless to say, I use my saws all the time, and since I got it, the 550 is the one I usually reach for. I had my rancher for about a year before I bought the 372 and then I just bought the 550 this spring when I decided I wanted something a little lighter. SO HERE'S MY PROBLEM. The chainbrake band just broke on my 550xp after only about 4 months of use! This is not an isolated problem either. About a year after I got my Rancher (right before I got the 372) the same thing happened to it, the chain brake band broke in the same location. I believe this to be a bad design flaw. I understand that I could take my 550 in for warranty service but last time I did this with my 460 and it took the dealer over 2 months to get my saw back to me! That is just ridiculous! I can't wait that long, I need my saw as soon as possible. The dealer also charged me $20 for something I didn't even ask him to replace! I could have bought a new band and replaced it myself for that much.... Anyway, I also purchased this saw from an online dealer so I'm not even sure if the local place will honor my warranty, and I live 60 miles from the “local” dealer! Basically I'm writing this because I don't want to use my saw without a chainbrake and I know I can easily fix it myself if I have a new band. I also know that the band is covered under the warranty and that Husqvarna therefore owes me a new band anyway. I would like to save myself the time, the trip, and the trouble by skipping the middle man (dealer) and just have Husky send me a replacement band and I will install it. I have pictures and my saw is registered. Please contact me via email and I will send the Serial Number of my saw and my mailing address. If anyone in the engineering department is listening, you should really consider beefing up that chain brake band..... it is a very thin piece of metal that has a demanding job.
