    I have a Poulan Pro blower/vac model BVM200VS. It was...escalated1
General Product Question posted April 16, 2011 by John Zrodlowski
    Question:
I have a Poulan Pro blower/vac model BVM200VS. It was purchased from Lowe's on 11/15/2010. I have never used anything but the correct gas to oil mix and have used the supplied 2-stroke oil. The blower had always started and run very well. Then, 2-3 weeks ago it stalled out and will not start again. I have checked for spark and am getting it. Replaced the spark plug after checking and setting the appropriate gap. Took apart and cleaned the fuel intake system including blowing out the fuel filter. According to the printed material packed with the blower, it would appear to be under warranty. I have read a lot about this brand/model on line. From what I can gather, the unit has lost compression in the cylinder. This would be the most logical diagnosis given the other causes already ruled out. The loss of compression is most likely due to one of two reasons or both: the piston ring has gotten stuck in the set groove on the piston (which this model is well known for) or the head bolts have vibrated loose enough to compromise compression (another model related flaw). Many of the customer reviews of this blower were quite unfavorable, more than some warning a potential customer against purchase of Poulan. Of those customers that did take the unit in for repair, under warranty, more than 60% were told the problem was not covered and due to improper gas to oil mix. My question is should I take it in and have it checked for possible repair, even under warranty?

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 18, 2016 by Victor Velarde
My Poulan Pro Snow Blower PR241 only drives in reverse and I was told that the bracket that holds the drive cable is broken. I was told that the plastic bracket is not very sturdy and that other snow blowers have had them replaced. My question is: Can Husqvarana have this bracket replaced with a metal one?

I have a new Poulan Pro Blower that I have used twice. I tried to use it for the third time and it will not start. I used the Oil mixture sent with the blower in a gallon of gas as instructed.

It does not seem to be getting a spark of any kind. It doesn't come close to starting. I am very disappointed in this product.

    I have a Poulan Pro Blower/Vac model BVM200FE. It was...escalated
Warranty Question posted November 11, 2013 by Torrey Douglas
    Question:
I have a Poulan Pro Blower/Vac model BVM200FE. It was purchased from Lowe's on 4/2012. I have always used the correct gas to oil mixture and have used the supplied 2-stroke oil as the instructions directed. I never had an issue with the blower until recently. However, about a month ago it stalled out and will not start again. I recently replaced the spark plug for the make and model which I also purchased from Lowes as well. Once I replaced the spark plug, checking and setting the appropriate gap, I cleaned the fuel intake system including blowing out the fuel filter. According to the printed material packed with the blower, it would appear to be under warranty. I spoke with a representative that referred me to a local service repair shop called "The Lawnmower Shop" and he diagnosed that the blower lost compression in the cylinder and it's not covered under warranty. After I received the diagnosis, I immediately contacted the Poulan Service Center and the rep stated that this is an issue that Corporate covered in the past but due to the number of consumers having this exact same issue with different makes and models, they no longer cover this under warranty. This is really disappointing because the product was purchased with a 2 year warranty and is an obvious issue with the brand according to all the reviews that I failed to read before purchasing your product. I paid over $130.00 for this blower and cannot believe that you all refuse to repair it due to a known issue that's going on with different makes and models. Is there is anyone that cares enough about consumer and would do the right thing by following up with me regarding this matter? Also here's the Service Center Escalation # 93423279 from the call that I made today.

Service & Maintenance Question posted April 13, 2011 by Brian Bownds
I have a Poulan Pro Blower Vac Mulcher. It starts and runs but if I shut it off and let it sit more than a few minutes it will not restart. It is only 2 months old and I have only used it a few times. I use premium gas and good quality 2 stroke oil. I can run it as long as I want. I can shut it off and restart it within a minute or two without a problem. If it sits for more than a few minutes it wont start and the carb will not prime/purge, only air stays in the primer bulb. This is a new unit and shouldn't have these kind of problems, do I need to return the unit?
    Thanks,

Warranty Question posted February 4, 2012 by Dennis Kinney
    Question:
I purchased a new Poulan Pro blower from Lowes on June 5, 2010, which I registered right away. the blower quit running in May of 2011, so I took it to the local warranty repair center that charged me $30.00 to check it as I could not find the receipt. They proceeded to tell me the blower had a bad motor and would need replaced. I contacted the company and Lowes to find I had been sold a blower that was 4 years old but sold as new. This is crap. I had no warranty because of this and basically I am out the money for the blower and the diagnosis by the repair center. Is this a common practice? If it is, I will proceed to buy a Stihl blower to replace it since I want something I can rely on

p.s. The email I received when I registered the product said save this email. Why? It seem it is basically useless and only serves to oshow me how little customer service means to both companies

Service & Maintenance Question posted March 24, 2011 by brian blake
at the end of last season I purchased a blower and chain saw (both poulan). The blower was used about five times before winter and then stored in a basement. Several weeks ago, I got it out, filled with new gas and changed the spark plug to one that last the life of the equipment. it wont start. I checked the plug and cleaned the carb. The local service center says there may be a carb issue. Is this common on a new product? will this be necassary each season? I like poulan products and their price. I do not want to be consumed in maintenance each season. any suggestions?

    I bought a 24" Poulan Pro PR624ES snowblower only two...escalated1
General Product Question posted February 29, 2012 by Brian
    Question:
I bought a 24" Poulan Pro PR624ES snowblower only two months ago and after only a couple light uses it has major concerns:

    1) It will not go in reverse as it should. The reverse option is just a slower forward speed.

    2) Major kickback and engine shuts off.

    3) Gas leaks and it actually started a small fire in my driveway today.

Needless to say I'm very disappointed with the lack of quality. After calling customer service I kept getting directed to other phone numbers to call for assistance. I called a local service shop who plans on taking a look at it. Very disappointed in the customer service of this product along with the product itself.
