General Product Question posted October 31, 2011 by Richard Arps
    Question:
Frankly I wish I could get my money back for the Poulan Pro BVM200VS. I can not start it. I've taken it to a service center and he can get it started easily. After he has started it I can restart it.
When I drive home (15 miles), I can't start it. I have been back to the dealer 5 times and the story is always the same. Maybe 79 is too old to be fooling with blowers.

General Product Question posted November 4, 2011 by Thomas Richards
    Question:
My BVM200LE ran for about an hour. The next day it wouldn't start. I checked spark (OK), changed fuel. No start.

Took it into B&L Outdoor Power, Hollister, Mo. THey said there wasn't enough compression for it to start.

They called Poulon who told them they would not honor the warranty....!

They soaked the cylinder in "Seafoam" for 48 hours and it ran. I took it home and used it once; about 1/2 hour. It has never run since. I tried the same Seafoam soak; no good.
I even tried a shot of starting fluid. No good.

Since you won't honor the warranty the only thing left to me is to contact Sam's Club (where I bought it) and Consumer's
Union - unless you can do something to repair or replace my blower.

    Thank you,
    Thomas Richards

Service & Maintenance Question posted December 1, 2012 by e kennedy
    Question:
bought a Poulan Pro PPB2000LE leaf blower about 5 years ago. stopped working yesterday - tried cleaning carb, put in new fuel, starting using starter fluid (runs for about a second, then engine dies again) NO INFO ON WEB SITE (THE MODEL NUMBER ISN'T EVEN RECOGNIZED!) NO MANUALS, NOT EVEN AN EMAIL ADDRESS FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT (JUST PHONE NUMBERS AND I DON'T WANT TO WASTE MY CELL MINUTES ON HOLD!)

WHERE CAN I GET INFO SO I CAN TRY AND DETERMINE WHY THIS THING WON'T WORK?

Parts Question posted September 11, 2011 by Don Wright
    Question:
I just bought a new chainsaw (PP4218AVX), but when I went to use it, there was no filler cap for the bar oil. I asked about it at Lowe's where I purchased it, and they referred me to the 800# in the manual. I have tried to call the number several times, but get no answer and it then it eventually disconnects. How do I get a filler cap for this?

    Question:
I'm a very dissatisfied Poulan customer.
I bought a Poulan blower in fall of 2010. I used it that fall and this past fall in a non-commercial way. It ran OK but cord came out in my hand when I tried to start it this past fall. I just brought it to a local small engine guy. He said, "It's too costly to fix. Throw it out. I'd have to take it all apart to fix it. It's not worth it." What say you? Fred 978-454-0794

    2 part question: 1) Why isn't there a snow...Answeredescalated2
Service & Maintenance Question posted February 21, 2012 by Charles Fisher
    Question:
    2 part question:

    1) Why isn't there a snow thrower category?
    2) Why won't my brand new snow thrower start?
    Details:

There isn't a category for Snow Throwers, which is annoying. Anyway. I purchased a 24" 6.5hp snow thrower (model PR624ES)from Menards on December 26th, 2011. I've only been able to get it started twice. It won't start with either the electric starter or the manual one. I've tried every variation of number of primes, how open I have the choke, etc. Nothing works. Checked and rechecked to make sure key was inserted correctly, switch was flipped to "run," etc. Very very frustrated with this as I just spent 2 hrs shoveling 8 inches of snow after spending the previous 3 hours trying to get the thing to start.

The two times I had it started (the day I got it) and once in late December, it was not easy to get going. Now the starter will fire, but the engine won't start.

I purchased this snow thrower based on good reviews of it online, and the price, but it seems like I wasted my money on it.

Service & Maintenance Question posted February 18, 2014 by John McHale
    Question:
Auger does not lock when both traction drive and auger control levers are engaged. Snow thrower PR827Es. The manual says they should lock so you can control the chute with your right hand so as not to interrupt the snow thowing process. This unit is 3 years old with only 5 hours use. Thanks for any help.
