    Question:
The customer support phone number (1-800-487-5951) has not worked for the past two weeks. Did you discontinue this number? Is there a new customer support phone number where I can speak to a live representative?

    Question:
I bought a Husqvarna ST224 snow blower Nov 2014. I used it 5 times and it worked great before the auger belt broke. Turns out it was my fault because after perfectly clearing 27" snow fall Jan 2016 (property 100'X40') I did not run the machine for 3-4 minutes (as the owner's manual tells you to do) or clean out the auger/impeller area after job was done. Instead I just turned off the machine and put it in an unheated garage. The next day the auger and impeller froze over so when I tried to use the machine the auger belt shredded and burned.

The authorized dealer told me that a small amount of ice or snow can prevent the auger/impeller from spinning. This can happen even if the machine is running normally, especially if the snow is heavy and wet. Make sure the chute and impeller/auger are clear of snow otherwise the engine/pulley runs but the belt shreds because it is not spinning the auger assembly. I spent $799 for this machine plus tax and delivery and was disgusted with this machine when it happened, but as I said it was my fault. If machine stops throwing snow, turn it off clean auger/impeller area and chute, if you leave the machine run and continue to try to throw snow the belt will shred. I'm not saying that this is the case with everyone who is having trouble with this machine, but hopefully this will save you some aggravation in the future.

I found a great video on you tube that demonstrates exactly how to replace the auger belt. Husqvarna sent me a auger and drive belt free of charge, also bought another auger belt from Sears on line. Took approx. 1/2 hour to change auger belt and machine is working fine again. Suggest you watch the video and read the owner's manual before doing job.

My drive belt is OK but in case I have problems with it down the road, does anybody know of a video that shows how to replace the drive belt for this machine?

PS: I just spoke with Husqvarna factory, there is a service bulletin on the ST 224. They gave me a incident # and told me to bring the machine into a factory authorized dealer

I want to buy a 1830EXL Snow Thrower and I cannot find a dealer that sells them in my zip code. Every time I call one that is listed as a dealer, they recommend another brand. Is there a dealer in my area that you know really sells them. Dave zip code 19335, Downingtown, PA

    Question:
    re:Recharchargable Battery Snow Thrower

Please tell me if you carry any Lightweight (20 lbs or so) Re-Chargeable Battery-Operated Snow Thrower. I am a Woman who lives in Rural Northern Illinois. And, when the Plow Persons cannot get to me, I sometimes have to fend for myself. If nothing more than providing an escape route in case of fire.

    Please advise.

    Thank you for your attention

General Product Question posted February 9, 2012 by Jon Hageseth
    Question:
    Hello,
I have a question about the power steering functions on the trac snow throwers. I have some chronic shoulder problems and need a unit that I can steer very easily. How does the power steering function? Is one side locked/braked when turning or is one side just disengaged when the trigger lock is squeezed? I am not able to turn any machine by hand so this is a key issue.

    Thanks,

    Jon

General Product Question posted February 28, 2012 by Joseph Jenkins
    Question:
I purchased a vandalized 27' Husqvarna snow thrower with all ID and many parts removed from the thrower. But, the ID for the Tecumseh engine is still on the engine's air shroud. We need parts from Husqvarna to restore the thrower. Engine parts have been ordered from Tecumseh.

The thrower's Tecumseh engine has an ID tag with the following information.
    MODEL: HMSK105
    WARRANTY: (H)
    SPEC: 159914C
    DOM: 03311CB0009
    ENGINE FAMILY; 3TPXS.3582BF
    DISP; 358cc

According to Tecumseh, Model HMSK105 is a 10.5 HP 358cc engine manufactured on 28 Nov 2003 (from the DOM).

What Husqvarna snow thrower models were manufactured in late 2003 / early 2004, what were their horse power ratings and displacements, and where can I get parts lists for those models - hopefully on line.

General Product Question posted March 8, 2013 by Chris Meader
    Question:
SNOWBLOWER DRIVE SPEED TOO FAST EVEN AT LOWEST SETTING - I just purchased a ST230E snowblower. I have found that even at the lowest setting the drive speed is too fast to throw snow that is more than 2 or 3 inches deep. I purchased this assembled from Lowes and had already noticed they incorrectly hooked up the chute which I have fixed. Could they have done something else incorrectly during assembly that is causing the machine to go so fast even on the slowest setting?
