    Question:
I was servicing our string trimmer and when putting grease in the angled beveled gear housing, I was not sure as to how much grease it should contain. Not enough or too much will cause problems. What do you folks recommend.
    thanks for your time.

    Question:
I am in a TOTAL love hate relationship with my 223L Trimmer. This is the most powerful, lightweight, easy to use trimmer I've ever had.I did a ton of research on spending this much money on a Trimmer. It seemed the best product out there. So what "Brain Surgeon" engineer put the exhaust for the muffler on the TOP of the engine? I can't use this thing without it burning the hell out of my arm! When you hold the Trimmer your right arm lays right on top of the Engine Housing. That's pretty much any Trimmer. SO WHY IS THE EXHAUST RIGHT THERE? UGGHH! Thinking about returning it and that sux because I really don't want another Troy Built. :(

Service & Maintenance Question posted September 16, 2017 by Adam Johnston
    Question:
My Husqvarna 128LD has recently started rotating while in use. The engine and trimmer head are no longer in alignment. The rotation has slowly been advancing during use, and has now reached the point that the fuel filler cap is pointing straight down during trimmer operation, resulting in leakage and erratic operation. There's no obvious loose point to rotate the unit back into alignment (and then tighten it all back down). How do I rectify this?

    Question:
I have a fairly new 223L string trimmer. Worked fine for about a month. Now the string nearly constantly feeds out and gets chopped off. Doesn't seem like the head is stuck--it pushes up and down fine. Doesn't do it all the time--just most of the time. String is on correctly, so is the head. What's wrong?

    Question:
Hi, I have a Husqvarna 128 LD string trimmer, model #952711953 and I've got some white smoke puffing out of it when I turn it on. I've mixed fresh gas and oil and that didn't seem to do the trick. I've taken it apart to try to clean what I could find, but quite frankly, I don't know exactly what I'm looking for and what to clean/fix. It has no problem starting. If anyone has some insight as to how to troubleshoot this, all would be appreciated. My lawn needs some major trimming around the edges! Thanks.

Replace 2005 Huskvarna 125L String Trimmer Throttle Assembly1
Service & Maintenance Question posted September 22, 2018 by Scott Thomas
    Question:
Replace 2005 Huskvarna 125L String Trimmer Throttle Assembly
    Details:

I have a 2005 Huskvarna string trimmer and the thing is a reliable beast that has served me well for 13+ years.  I have had to replace a few plastic bits and bobs throughout the years, but these have all been easy, inexpensive fixes.

However, now I am stuck.  My throttle cable broke and since the kill switch hasn't worked in years, I purchased the entire throttle assembly to replace.

However, I do not know how to remove the piece that attaches the throttle cable to the engine next to carb - SEE PIC. I've found videos for later models where this bit simply slides out, but mine is attached somehow.  I have attempted to force it out with quite a bit of pressure using a pair of pliers, with no success.

I guess I could cut the end of the throttle cable off and slide it through the existing sleeve and re-attach the end, but surely it shouldnt be this difficult to simply replace the entire assembly.

    Any help is much appreciated.

I have also attached a pic of the weedeater model info.

    Question:
    replace bump head on 525ls
    Details:

We have the Husqvarna 525ls trimmer and cannot figure out how to remove the bump head from the trimmer.  There is no information in the owners manual on how to do this and even after finding information on how it should come off, the head simply will not come off.   Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
