    Question:
I am in a TOTAL love hate relationship with my 223L Trimmer. This is the most powerful, lightweight, easy to use trimmer I've ever had.I did a ton of research on spending this much money on a Trimmer. It seemed the best product out there. So what "Brain Surgeon" engineer put the exhaust for the muffler on the TOP of the engine? I can't use this thing without it burning the hell out of my arm! When you hold the Trimmer your right arm lays right on top of the Engine Housing. That's pretty much any Trimmer. SO WHY IS THE EXHAUST RIGHT THERE? UGGHH! Thinking about returning it and that sux because I really don't want another Troy Built. :(

    Question:
I have a Husq. model 128LD trimmer 2010 from lowes. Got it out of the shed and fuel lines were dry rotted, Replaced them the spark plug and fuel filter. The unit starts first pull will idle and run great for about 20 to 30 mins then bogs out and dies, I have cleaned the spark arrestor, Tried running with the fuel cap all the way off, And even tried putting the old spark plug back in, When all that didn't make a difference I took the muffler all the way off, sounded cool but still died. If you let it cool down for 15 mins it will restart and run like new for another 20-30 mins. Also when it dies I have pulled the plug and its still fireing and dry. Do I have a lazy trimmer or is there something I have missed? Any help would be greatly appriciated. TY in advance

    Question:
128CD trimmer STALLS...I have a 128CD string trimmer that's about 6 months old. I bought a reman unit from Husqvarna. The trimmer has begun stalling whenever I put it in run. It idles very high at half choke but will not remain running in run position. I've tried adjusting the idle screw but that doesn't seem to do anything. Appreciate any advise or help.

    Question:
Husqvarna 324L 4 stroke trimmer has 90 psi compression, won't start on starter fluid, and owner says he always has to run it on partial choke? Is this because it was set too lean? And does the low compression mean he might have scored the piston?

    Question:
I have a walk behind Husqvarna trimmer/mower. 2 years old now. Absolutely love it but will say I've gone through several replacement mower balls and they aren't the easiest to change out. My bigger issue it that recently the power has gone down hill. New spark plug, new air filter, fuel injection cleaner/boost....no luck. plz help. Thanks!

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 3, 2015 by Brian Humphrey
    Question:
I have a 223L trimmer that is about 1 year old and will not start. some background, I did run some old 2cycle gas in it (my bad). It also fell in my shed about 3 feet from the floor, after that I was getting fuel in the muffler. I dumped the gas and put in premixed ethanol free gas. I replaced the carburetor and the spark plug. I verified I am getting spark. But I am not getting even a sputter, I sprayed some carb cleaner to get something in case I was not getting fuel from the carb. but still nothing after endless pulling not even a slight hint of the engine firing. Any suggestions on what to try??

new carb for 128cd or fix current?5
Service & Maintenance Question posted June 11, 2015 by Robert Vela
    Question:
new carb for 128cd or fix current?
    Details:

My wife & I just purchased a new house a few months ago and was given this used trimmer as a gift. It worked pretty well for a few uses. It would die after about 20 minutes of use. I would crack it again and have trouble but after a little while it would start working fine. I only use it about 20-30 minutes for the front and back yard.

Once the gas tank was empty I looked inside and saw the line was torn and there were small pieces of line in there. the fuel filter was not attached to it's hose. I'm not sure how long it was like that? I replaced the hose with a new filter and ran OK for a little while but would bog down and shut off.

I should also mention it would never idle right. the head was always moving and sometimes at a fast pace. I took apart the carb and used carb cleaner to clean it out. put everything back together and cranked it. It ran but ran very very rich. no low idle, head constant spinning and would eventually bog down and shut off. I was taking it apart again and noticed the filter on the side had a hole from when it was running really hot. The fuel line also came undone on it's own from the carb when I was about to take it apart and now need to replace that because it will not stay on.

I dremeled the metal surrounding the idle screws and adjusted it but now won't turn over to even adjust it.

My thinking is just buy a new carb. plenty of success stories on getting a new carb installed but would I need to adjust the idle settings on a new carb?
