    Question:
Re: Correct fuel:2 cycle oil mix. My 142 manual says 40:1 (3.2 oz. per gallon) but the Husqvarna 2 cycle oil bottles are 50:1 (2.6 oz. per gallon). Isn't that 40:1 wrong?

General Product Question posted April 13, 2012 by John Mogush
    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 455 Rancher chain saw with a 20 inch bar and chain. I only use the saw to cut my own firewood. Recently I experienced a no start no run problem and took it in for maintenance. Two separate dealers found a scored cylinder wall but ... Both said the saw was extremely well maintained etc. Has anyone experienced this problem. Service dealer found that the design of the air filter permitted fine saw dust to enter the air intake around the base of the filter cover and most likely caused the scoring of the cylinder wall as it let in fine particulate matter. The saw was determined to not be economically repairable. I bought the saw at Sears Roebuck.

In comparing a Stihl 260 or 261 to a Husqvarna 346xp chain saws. Stihl uses a .325 pitch, (.063) saw chain gauge and Husqvarna uses a .325 pitch, (.058 ) gauge saw chain, Why doesn't Husqvarna use the heavier guage chain like Stihl?

    Question:
I have a 576xp husqvarna chain saw 28" bar the saw was bought in feb. of this year the problem that I am having with it is that it will not start, the last time that it ran and quit it was more than half way though the tank it just died, when the gas tank was opened it was under pressure ( it popped when opened) after that the saw would not start (the saw is getting fuel and spark ) The saw has had less than 8 fills on the tank we run two other husqvarna saw ( 350 & 455 ) on the same fuel and have no problems with them in the last 10 years of use. Question:
hi my husqvarna 450 is giving me alot of trouble when i try to start it,the pull cord didnt retract after i pulled it,1 dealer reset for me,2 same thing happened next day.3 same thing happened again so i gave out to him about this as the saw is only 6 months old he said it was the "helper spring" and it was out of shape and that he heated it and bent it back into shape.4 a few days later i pulled the cord and it froze so he replaced the pulled cord and fly wheel but now the compression feels to tough and to hard to pull and now i cant start the saw, any ideas what the trouble is now.each trip i make to him is a 35 mile return trip.
