General Product Question posted July 5, 2011 by Richard Whittaker
    Question:
I just got my new Husqvarna 235e chainsaw Sunday and it doesn't start. i took it back and the guy at the store could not get it started. So I exchanged it for another one and this one did start only for a few seconds. I could not get it started again. I called customer service and was sent to southern states for someone to look it over. He had a hard time with it and could not get it started. He had to make a few adjustments and got it started. When I got it home, I tried to start it, and it does not want to start again. I have been following the directions and doing as they said to do. I can't return this one because it was the floor model. I should have to work this hard to get a chainsaw to start. Do you have anyother ideas on trying to get it started? I hope I did not waist 200.00 dollars.

Husqvarna 445 Chain oil adjustment? (see details)escalated1
General Product Question posted September 15, 2013 by Rick B
    Question:
Husqvarna 445 Chain oil adjustment? (see details)
    Details:

I just purchased a factory refurbished Husqvarna 445 chainsaw and  I am wondering how to adjust the chain oiler.  I see the adjustment symbol on the bottom of the saw, but there is not a screw as some google searches indicate.  I'm wondering if my saw is missing the adjustment screw or if I need a special tool. What I see is a black horizontal shaft with little sprocket like indentations.

    Question:
Just bought a brand new, in the box 550xp about 2 hours ago. Got it home, fueled up and won't start. Won't even turn over. Checked the manual 3 times to be sure I didn't miss anything special. Pulled it about 75 times and nothing. Now I've noticed what appears to be fuel leaking form the top of the muffler baffles. What's going on? Very close to just returning the whole thing and go buy a Stihl if a new Husqvarna won't start.

    Question:
I own a model 435 Husqvarna chainsaw. It does not have a decompression button, When I try to start the saw the cord does not extend the correct length. Does this have to do with compression buildup? If so how do I relieve the compression so the cord will work and I can start the saw?

    Question:
When did Husqvarna start making the T435 in China, I just ordered one and sent it back to the dealer because it was Made in China. I am very disappointed in Husqvarna asking premium price for Made in China chainsaw

How do you know what size file to use?escalated
General Product Question posted February 26, 2012 by Bob Dore
    Question:
How do you know what size file to use?
    Details:

This was an answer to someone else's question. "The Husqvarna model 359 chain saw with 3/8" pitch chain uses a 7/32" file to sharpen. The 3/16" file is used on the .325 pitch saw chain." How would I know that?

I have a 340 with .325 pitch and 0.050 (guage?). What size file should I use? Thank you for your help.

Husqvarna XP 2 cycle oil specificationsAnsweredescalated3
General Product Question posted November 27, 2011 by Jeff Boyd
    Question:
Husqvarna XP 2 cycle oil specifications
    Details:

I have a Rancher 445 chainsaw and an Echo string trimmer.  I use the recommended Husqvarna XP 2 cycle oil in the fuel for the chainsaw.  I would like to use the same gas/oil mixture for the string trimmer, but the instructions for the string trimmer specify 2 cycle oil that meets ISO-L-EGD (ISO/CD 13738) and J.A.S.O. FC/FD specs.  The Husqvarna XP 2 cycle oil does not show what specs it meets.  Can you tell me if the Husqvarna XP oil meets those specs?  thank you

General Product Question posted April 25, 2012 by Donald Durand
    Question:
Someone asked a question in July 2010 about how to find the exact manual for your OPE. I have a 455 Rancher and can see by the answer you provided where the year is in the SN, but in some cases there is more than one OM or IPL for a given year? Is the month somewhere in the PN or SN? Should I always go backwards to find the manual, never forwards?

Given your answer in 2010 that Husqvarna was working on a better way to find manuals, I cannot understand why its not available in April 2012, almost 2 years latter?
