Husqvarna Model 36 Chainsaw Bar/Chain Fit Up; I have a...Answeredescalated1
Parts Question posted November 20, 2011 by john smith5836
    Question:
    Husqvarna Model 36 Chainsaw Bar/Chain Fit Up;

I have a Husqvarna Model 36 saw, 16" bar. The Husqvarna cross reference table calls for a Model HL-258-66 Bar and a H38-66 chain. My saw came with a part no. 530044508 bar, which AFAIK translates to an HL-180-56 bar, and a oregon 91vg56/husq H36-56 chain (at least that is the replacement chain I have been using for years with no problems). As far as I can tell, the model called for in the cross reference table not only uses a different mount for the bar, but is a 66 link chain vs. a 56 link that is currently on my saw. Is there an error in the table, or does my saw have the wrong bar/chain? Thanks

    Question:
When I am buying parts they ask me the model number of my Husqvarna 455 Rancher chain saw in one of the choices in the following format:
    2004-01, 2005-03, 2006-02, 2006-06, 2007-01, 2009-10.

The numbers on the chainsaw nameplate are in this format:
    965 03 02-00
    sn 07 1302191
    4hvx5.0565aa
    e5*97/68sh363*2002/88*0065*00
Could you please make sense out of those numbers, or tell me what my model number is?

Oil Tank leak thru Vent Question. Hello, and First of...2
Parts Question posted December 15, 2015 by Jim Rodgers
    Question:
Oil Tank leak thru Vent Question.

Hello, and First of all....if you are reading this, thank you for trying to help.

I have a Sweden made, early 1990's 394XP chain saw. I love this saw, however I am fighting a bar lube oil tank leak and references are few and far between for this obsoleted unit.

My belief is that the bar chain oil is coming out of the end of the oil tank vent tube. I know this is happening, as when I remove the bar, start the engine, and at off idle RPM I can watch oil come out of the end of the vent tube itself.

I pulled the vent line (P/N 501839302) out of the saw itself. In the end of my tube (bar stud side), there is simply a standard hollow roll pin stuck in the ID of the tube. This means there is a clear passage from the oil cap all the way thru the tank to the bar studs.

My question is....Is this hollow roll pin the correct part for this application? Past experience proves that most saw vents have what I would call a "threaded set screw".

I have obviously tried to order a new vent line for replacement, however no dealer and not website I have found yet offers this OE replacement.

Thank you again for your help.

Parts Question posted August 10, 2014 by Michael Carmeci
    Question:
I own a Husqvarna 350 chain saw. I am trying to find a diagram and/or parts list for my saw. I can not find information as to where the model number is on my saw. I see a white label that says 350 52 CC 4HVXS.0525AA but when i enter the 4HVXS.0525AA it comes up as not found.

    I also found a black plate under the handle that says Husqvarna 350 967 01 18 00 s/n 04 4600200

So what size chain ( i'm guessing 18") what year ( I'm guessing 2001) but can't find a diagram of a parts list that shows the replacement chain and number.

Parts Question posted February 11, 2012 by Joey Joejoe
    Question:
    16" bar for a 455 Rancher?
I'd like to buy a Rancher 455 20" saw as it looks like a reasonably priced saw that can handle a 20" bar. But at the same time I'd like to be able to switch to a smaller 16" bar when I don't need the 20" length. But I'm surprised that I can't seem to find a 16" bar for the 455. I would think (naively perhaps) that I could find a bar from 14 to 24" to easily fit most of these saws. Is that not true? If not true, why aren't these bars more interchangeable?

    Thanks

    Question:
I have a husqvarna Rancher 61 and I'm looking for the right owners/parts manuals.

Husqvarna phone support thinks it's from 1980 but not sure

    Tag says:
    Husgvarna AB Sweden
    Practica 61 *** 823.78
    1611 040340

All text is printed in black on the tag, except the last 6 digit number which is engraved, so I guess it's a serial number.

There seems to be multiple manuals for the same years between 78 and 85 so I'm not sure which is the right one.

I'll attach a couple of pictures

    thanks for any help/pointers/links

    Husqvarna model 142 Chain question. I have a Husqvarna...escalated2
Parts Question posted January 25, 2014 by Rich Breen
    Question:
    Husqvarna model 142 Chain question.

I have a Husqvarna Model 142 16" chainsaw which needs a new chain. It seems that these chains are very difficult to find; the only ones all the big box and online stores carry are for the earlier serial numbers - the later ones used a .043 (1.1mm) gauge chain which I can't find. anyone know of a solution?

I'd thought about replacing the bar with a more common .05 guage, but don't know the pitch of the chain sprocket.

    Thanks!
