"Adjustment Screw" for Husqvarna 316 Electric...escalated1
Parts Question posted June 3, 2013 by Ed Rezny
    Question:
"Adjustment Screw" for Husqvarna 316 Electric chainsaw: The "adjustment screw" (as described in the manual's write-up below) on my 316 electric chainsaw snapped recently, but I cannot figure out the number of the part to order. The parts information I've seen online generally lists a number of screws that can be ordered, but not one specifically described below as the adjustment screw. Can you help me determine this? Thanks.

"Seat the guide bar on the adjusting pin and replace the clutch cover. Check that the drive links fit correctly on the drive sprocket and that the chain is in the groove on the bar.
Tighten bar nuts finger tight. Adjust chain tension, using
combination wrench to turn adjustment screw clockwise to
tighten. Tighten adjustment screw until the chain is drawn
snugly against the underside of the bar."

    16" bar for a 455 Rancher? I'd like to buy a...Answeredescalated1
Parts Question posted February 11, 2012 by Joey Joejoe
    Question:
    16" bar for a 455 Rancher?
I'd like to buy a Rancher 455 20" saw as it looks like a reasonably priced saw that can handle a 20" bar. But at the same time I'd like to be able to switch to a smaller 16" bar when I don't need the 20" length. But I'm surprised that I can't seem to find a 16" bar for the 455. I would think (naively perhaps) that I could find a bar from 14 to 24" to easily fit most of these saws. Is that not true? If not true, why aren't these bars more interchangeable?

    Thanks

    3120XP Ignition and carb question.escalated
Parts Question posted January 9, 2014 by JP
    Question:
    3120XP Ignition and carb question.
    Details:

Based on the P/N of the carb (WG7) I would assume this is an EPA 3120XP? that is, if it was not put on at a later date than from the factory..

The Number on the plate is
    965 96 07-00
    00 1600040

I would assume that means year 2000 build and serial number of 1600040?

with that being said, the P/N on the carb is a WG-7 which is the P/N of the EPA carb on the 2000 IPL.   It lists a WG-8 as the NON EPA carb part number.

I also saw on my older 3120XP (its a 1989) it had a WG-2 (absolute garbage carb, would not run to save its life) and I upgraded it to a WG 8 or 10 (P/N: 503282001), i cant remember on that one.  The replacement carb fixed it and it runs awesome.

But the 1989 3120xp had a P/N of 503 13 85-01 for its ignition coil and my 2000 only has one P/N listed of 503 13 85-02 for the coil.  On my old saw the -01 was truly a non EPA chainsaw because it was not even available in a EPA version. But the 2000 i just got off ebay appears to be a tree hugger EPA model with the WG7 on it.

My question is does it matter if i go to a WG8 or WG10 on this 2000 model and leave the 503 13 85-02 ignition on it?

I really do not know why they would have a "EPA" and a "NON EPA" ignition on it. Does it not run as hot to create a spark not as hot as a NON EPA one?

I also noticed that I have seen several different HP ratings for the 3120xp. I have seen it listed as 9.2HP and as 8.4HP; both on husqvarna documentation.   Is that because the EPA is running at 8.4HP and the non runs at 9.2hp?

any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Parts Question posted July 3, 2014 by Eric Groenendyk
    Question:
    450 CHAIN OIL LEAK
My 450 leaks out all it's chain oil when stored. I saw a post from 2011 concerning a oil leak issue for a rancher 455 with similar issues as mine. The response listed parts to replace. Are the parts the same for the 450 & 455?
Specifically the post listed #537 40 35 01 plug & #530 02 61 19 duck bill check valve. Are these the same for my 450?

Parts Question posted December 1, 2011 by Richard Mulholland
    Question:
Based on your answer to my previous question concerning my 350 chainsaw with the following tag info,
    Husqvarna 350
    967 01 18-00
    S/N 05 0900904
I began looking for the parts I need in the 350 (2005-05) manual. The parts that are shown in the illustrations show two different part numbers one for a 350 and one for a 350EPA. My saw has the heat deflection shield that is shown with only an EPA part number. This info begs the question; What parts do I purchase for my saw the ones with just the 350 designation or the ones with the 350EPA designation? I need an answer so I can order the correct parts. Thank you.
