Warranty Question posted January 29, 2012 by Tim Longnecker
    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 350 52cc chainsaw, #4HVXS.0525AA. The saw ran like a top for the first couple of years. then the muffler loosened. From what I have read since then, Husqvarna has had a continued problem with this model. I took the chainsaw to a Husqvarna repair shop, and the serviceman tightened the muffler. Within weeks, the muffler loosened again. In talking to the repairman, he confirmed that Husqvarna had dealt with the problem by offering a refit. So, I trusted that this would work, had the repairman to the work, and after paying over $100 for the repair, the muffler loosened within weeks. In calling him, he told me that other than tightening it again, he had no answers because Husqvarna had no other answers. Since that point, the muffler has loosened again to the point that the chainsaw housing melted into the oil reservoir, causing irreparable damage. I believe that Husqvarna is at fault here, for I have done all that was possible in following Husqvarna's guidelines. I realize that the chainsaw is no longer under warranty, but this situation would not have developed had the chainsaw been engineered properly. In reviewing other customer complaints, I see no other Husqvarna chainsaw with this recurring problem. I am not seeking a new saw, for I have gotten a couple of good years out of it, but I would love to buy another Husqvarna saw. I am requesting a coupon for a good percentage off a new saw. Thank you for your consideration.
    Respectfully,
    Tim

    Question:
I have recently bought a 455 Rancher Chain saw and I have read your other person problem with leaking all the chain oil out while the saw is sitting. I have not even used it and found big puddle of oil under it. I took the saw back to where I bought it and had to leave it over nite for the service man to fix the problem of leaking oil. He told me the tube was not installed proper from factory.I returned home with it after he said he fixed it and checked a few days latter and found it still had a puddle of oil under it.Is there some recalls on this problem? I don't like having to clean up big messes of oil and also don't think this is good product if it is going to leak all the oil out every time I use it.I don't want to have to buy a STIHL just to get satifaction of no leaking problem. Plaese email me with a solution to this ,thanks Glen

    Question:
I purchased a 455 Ranger [model #966 04 85 94]and have been troubled with bar oil leaks since the first running. I took it to a local Husqvanara dealer who advised that nothing is wrong and he adjusted the oil flow screw to the lowest setting[contrary to the manual that advises the higest flow position for a 20" bar]. This saw leaks bar oil while setting on my worhbench in very noticable amounts and certainly is not oiling the chain excessively when cutting 10" oak.I have lots of experience with chain saws and know that this oil leaking when in storage is not "normal" and their "fix" is rediculous.I believe the oil pump or tubing components are at fault.aNY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS ?

    Question:
The Husqvarna warranty section requests a copy of the receipt for a fully activated warranty. Although I was allowed to register my product, the chainsaw was a Christmas gift and I have no copy nor can I obtain a copy of the receipt to send to you. How do I receive a full warranty. Chainsaw: DHVYS 0414AB. #140120-000714. THANKS -JBASSI

    Question:
Hello, I just bought a Husqvarna Model 435 16" chainsaw, which was refurbished by Husqvarna. Is my warranty the same as if I had purchased a brand new Husqvarna? I was told it was by the store that sold it to me (Northern Tool and Equipment).

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Question:
We purchased Model T435 Trim/Arborist Chainsaw few months ago. Ran approximately 22-24 tankfuls of fuel usage so far. We are experiencing chain oiling problems. The saw does not use any bar oil for almost an entire tankful of fuel. The chain is overheating. We took the bar and chain off yesterday and ran it at full RPMS to watch for oil.We cheched for obstructed oiling passage but still not oiling.

    Question:
My husband purchased a Husqvarna chainsaw last August from Lowes . We haven't even finished paying for it yet and it is done . The motor went and when he took it to a service dealer , they said it was toast and NOT covered by warranty . He used it to cut a tree up we had to have taken down in our yard . Why else do you buy a chainsaw if not to cut wood ? They said it was excessive use and was not covered ??? How can you NOT stand by a product that wasn't even a year old yet ? We paid 385.00 for this chainsaw and bought your product because he said it was the best . However I don't feel this way . We still have some of the tree left in our yard and no chainsaw to finish the work . We haven't paid for it completely yet ...... I am so not satified ...... And will not recommend this product to anyone in the future ...... This is just not right ... Debra Donaberger Aston Pa

Warranty Question posted September 26, 2011 by jim quinn
    Question:
I have a 350 chainsaw, serial #071903575. The muffler fell off repeatedly. When I took it to a recommended dealer, they told me there was a "fix" for the problem - replacing the muffler w/a new model. The shop says they can't get any confirmation from Husqvarna that they will pay for any of the repair, although it was obviously a design flaw. What can I do?
