Service & Maintenance Question posted February 18, 2014 by James Van Holt
    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 1827EXLT 96193007700 track drive snowblower with the hydrostatic transmission purchased 4/11/2011 Its Very hard to control it. The steering cables are hard to pull? No adjustment and they are lubed. have read online forums and a lot of people are having the same problem. I had a track drive machine before with friction disc drive and it turn on a dime. This thing needs to be muscled and to heavy for that the handle bars will bend if so. Any info or ideas will help. Are you making an adjustable set of steering cables? Or some other fix for this machine. snow chute also needs an adjustable cable to make it go lower. My Dealer can't tell me nothing about the machine said he has sold two of them and both have the same complaints. He has never worked on one ether. Steering the machine is the number one problem! I Can see a inch inch size drop of oil in the snow from the hydrostatic drive. Whats the oil that is supposed to go in the oil tank.

    In Best regards , James

    Question:
Just bought a snow blower 924HVX. In the manual it shows an on and off switch located above pulley, but my unit has no such switch anywhere. So the only way to shut off unit is to remove safety key??? I went to Lowe's where I purchased it and had everyone one in the store scratching their heads trying to find it...

Service & Maintenance Question posted March 3, 2014 by Phil Franckel
    Question:
I have a 1130sbexp Snowthrower which needs a new impeller / auger belt. Husqvarna told me the part # is 183534.

I replaced the impeller / auger belt with an Arnold which says For Husqvarna 11 HP/30" replaces Husqvarna O.E. # 532 18 35-34.

I had someone come here to replace the belt and he said it's the wrong belt because it is so tight that the auger spins without putting the handle down. It started to smoke and he immediately turned it off and said it was so tight that it engaged the brake.

I went to a local Husqvarna dealer and the manager said he has that problem frequently with Husqvarna. He told me that he has to try different size belts until he finds one that fits. He looked at the Arnold belt and said it's a well made belt.

I called Husqvarna again today and was told the correct part number is different than the part # Husqvarna gave me last week. Now, Husqvarna says the correct part # is 532426492.

I have no idea what to do.
    Thanks

    Question:
I have a new 14527SB-LS snow thrower and getting no help from my local dealer.
1- the left hand traction drive control lever sticks almost everytime I need to use the blower. My cub Cadet never did this. The dealer said to pour gasoline anti freeze on the cable, which is ridiculous.
2- When I go forward and stop at the garage door and back up, it leves a snow trail about 3 feet long , 3 in wide and 3 inches high right down the middle. So after going forward and backwards 8 times to do the driveway, now I need to shovel these strips. Its as if the augers dont overlap, again My cub Cadet never did this! I have all Husqvarna equipment and never had a mess on my hands like this. I called your voice service and they were not helpful. Hopping you are !

    Question:
I own a HL 1027 (STEB) snowblower that I need to make repairs on the auger drive gearbox. My manual calls for Exxon Ronex ED #1 grease to be installed in the gearbox but I cannot locate a vendor that carries that type of grease. Does anyone have a lead on where to get that from, either from Husqvarna or somewhere else? Or a Husqvarna approved equivalent?

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 8, 2011 by Bob Scarff
    Question:
I just purchased a 1830EXL. When I removed the lower motor oil cap with dipstick to check the oil level, oil started to come out. Do the motors come from the factory already properly prefilled with oil or are they filled by the dealer before being sold? I didn't think oil should be coming out of the opening where you are supposed to be checking the oil level. So I think either it was over filled at the factory or the dealer over filled it before I picked it up. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

    Question:
Looking for the list of service bulletins and their descriptions, Specifically S/B # B1500013 for my ST230P that's eating belts. Seems I'm not the only unhappy owner experiencing this. I'd like to get the updated parts installed, BEFORE the snow flies!!! Thanx, Jay
