Service & Maintenance Question posted August 29, 2018 by Karen McLaughlin
    Question:
When I turned my headlights on my 2017 26hp 54" riding lawnmower cut off while the blades were engaged. I have checked the wiring and have not yet found an issue but since the blades are engaged I need to disengage the blades before continuing to troubleshoot the other concern so that the 2 issues don't overlap. How do I disengage the blades when there is no electricity from the battery making it to the PTO switch?

Service & Maintenance Question last edited August 12, 2018 by Gerry Waterson
    Question:
I was replacing the V belt on my Husqvarna LTH 130 (9541401017A)and accidentally knocked the Idler spring extension off what it was attached to at both ends. I connect one end to what I think is the hole on the pulley end and attach the other end to what I think it goes to but doing that causes the V belt to rub against the spring which is not good. I spent hours looking at photographs and see hundreds of pictures but all have a different hole on the mower deck and none show my exact model.
    Details:

The belt isn't in the picture but it rubs across the top of the spring of the idler pulley when installed. The Mandrel pulley is to the right at the top of the photo.

    Question:
I have posted this issue several times already and nobody from husqvarna responded to my problem. Husqvarna website says someone will reply within 24 hours to your question . I have a husqvarna tractor model logth2448t , My issue is my frame on the chassis is cracked on both sides towards the rear tires. I have my lawnmower at common cents a husqvarna dealer. Common cents is located in Fenton ,Missouri . Common cents told me they have seen this issue before and they got husqvarna to warranty the problem with another customer. Common cents talked to husqvarna about my issue to see if they would warranty my cracked frame and husqvarna said no they would not warranty my cracked frame. Common cents told me husqvarna warranty the other person's cracked frame and the tractor was out of warranty . My tractor is out of warranty too. I would like to talk to someone about my issue . Hope to here from you soon , thank you

    Question:
I have a Hus MZ5225 riding lawnmower. I can start it and it starts right up and runs great (mowing for a long period). When I turn it off and the unit is hot, it will not start until it has cooled for artleast 3-4 hours. Anyone know why or how I can fix this problem. I am leaning toward the solinoid but I want some other ideas before I go and pull it.

    Question:
I have a 2 year old YTA24V48. I was using it two days ago an briefly shut it down. A minute later I tried to restart it, but nothing happened when I turned the key. No click, buzz or anything. I tried putting a jumper across the starter solenoid and it immediately fired up. I could then restart it using the key, but after about 3 times (testing the restart) it was again silent. I can get it to turn over by jumping the solenoid, but it will not fire. I have fully charged the battery, there is a spark and gas is getting through. Is it possible there is a fault with a safety switch, or maybe the ignition switch?

    Question:
I have a Husqvarna riding lawn mower model YTH22V46 purchased from Lowes in June 2018. I have recently noticed oil leaking below the engine case. I have attached images below showing the oil and location on the floor. Does anyone have this issue or have had previuos issues with this?

    Thank you!

    Question:
Mdl YTH24K48 with Kohler engine. Ran out of gas while mowing. Now starter just clicks as if battery voltage is low. Battery and connections are good. Always started and cranked perfect. Seems like too much of a coincidence for it not to be related to running out of gas. Could it be a carburetor issue but I don't see the connection between fuel and the starter clicking? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Question:
I recently purchased a riding mower at Lowes, YTH18542, and have used it about 8 times. Since the first usage upon starting white smoke bellows out of the front of the machine for about the first 15 minutes of use. The smell is kind of like burning rubber. I have noticed a build up of what appears to be oil or grease under the lower front grill and it looks like I have oil stains on my garage floor. I checked the oil level and it is fine.
