    I have a Husqvarna LGT2554 lawn tractor with a cracked frame. It is broken where the transmission bolts to the frame. Both sides are broken in the same place rendering the tractor unsafe and unusable. When going in reverse the transmission swivels causing the drive belt to come off . It has damaged the plastic pulleys and the fan blades on the transmission. I almost wrecked the tractor when the drive belt jumped off( rolled down hill unexpectedly). I have noted many consumers are complaining of this. Is there a recall on this, is husqvarna doing anything like replacing /repairing this or has a class action suit been initiated (yet)? This flaw is obviously due to weak or substandard engineering and is a significant safety issue. Hopefully I will hear something shortly..as I am not at all pleased with the condition/performance of this equipment given the price I paid for it (new!).

    I have had the YTA18542 tractor for almost a year. Second cut of the season and yesterday the pedal kept getting stuck in either the forward or reverse position, had to really step down hard in the opposite direction to get it to stop. What could be happening? This thing is practically new and I paid a hell of a lot of $ to be having problems so soon. Please advise.

    YTA1946 Front Wheels squeaking. Just bought a house and came with a YTA1946 Riding Lawn Mower. Tried it out and after a short while (just warmed up) I noticed loud squeak coming from front wheels. Only happens when I roll forward (can't go fast enough backyards). Manual seems to indicate no bearings in these wheels. How can I fix this?

    I've seen many questions asked on this subject but no answers. Model YTH22V46; manual says to remove the lower dash cover when changing the oil. I see the cover and I see the fastener that needs to be removed. the fastener appears to have a round hole in its center. I don't have a round allen wrench and my best guess is if I'd ask for one at Lowe's, they won't have one and think that I'm crazy. Someone has to know how to remove it or it's a conspiracy to make you take the thing to a dealer to have the oil changed.

    I had a boatload of complaints but the dealer basically laughed at me. They didn't repair anything and refused to give me a work order showing my complaints and their inability to repair them. I've since forgotten getting help for the smaller repairs and am trying to get the engine to work properly. It developed an intermittent miss. Took it to a different place that is a factory authorized Briggs & Stratton service center. They told me up front that the problem will most likely be a fuel related problem and wont be covered under warranty! Wow they knew that before looking at it! Even though the problem started in the first 3 weeks of ownership, they did say it was bad fuel from sitting too long and made me pay the bill. $52.68 Hmm, old fuel after 3 weeks? When I told the counter person that I have 40 year old garden tractors that have never had a fuel problem, he told me that in today's newer Briggs and Stratton Engines "the quality just isn't there". Hear that Briggs and Stratton? Your authorized service centers are saying your motors lack quality and cause fuel to go bad!

    So it worked for 1 day and the misfire returned. He claims he missed a tiny bit of dirt in the carb.

    Yes you guessed it, it still has a misfire and an occasional backfire out the exhaust. So it's there again for a third time, dropped it off friday and today monday I didn't hear from them so I guess it's not fixed.

    Oh, also the blades were evidently not tightened properly from the factory, one came loose and stripped the star shaped piece it fits onto. I bought a new one since they told me it was my fault, that's another $54.47 for the part WITHOUT the labor. So if you buy a Husqvarna mower be sure to have a large torque wrench to properly tighten the blades before each use!

    So, does anyone here have any idea what could be wrong with it? I've been guessing it's a bad ignition coil. Any ideas to tell the "tech" what to look for besides bad fuel?

    The rear wheels are rubbing on the frame of the mower, the tires are showing scrapes on the sides where the rubbing is occurring. All bolts on mount points are tight. The bolts on pipe between the pumps are tight. The wheels when you look at them from the rear look like they are bowed out at the bottom forcing the tops of the tires into the frame... Nothing looks bent on the hydraulic motor mount.

    Any thoughts?

    Help with charging battery using the Husqvarna Battery Charger BC 0.8
    Details:

    The battery on my tractor has died.  I purchased the battery charger that Husqvarna sells (Battery Charger BC 0.8), however it does not appear to be working.  After I connect the cords to the battery and plug it in, the power indicator light turns on and remains a steady light for about 2 minutes.  However, after that the power indicator light starts flashing.  The fault light does not turn on and it never makes it to steps 1 thru 6.  Is there something that I'm doing wrong?  I've tried this 3 times now and it's always the same result.  I also left the charger plugged in overnight and it did not charge at all.  Thanks in advance for your help!

    Just bought a new LGT2654 mower. I can't find in my manual specifics for the FIRST oil change. I see the schedule oil change at 50 hours. I would like know if I need to change it after a few hours as it is a new engine. I have about .75 of an hour on the meter at this point. Is there need to change the oil now or very soon? Please advise.

    I have a 2042LS with a design defect. I have had to change the drive belt no less than three times. The dealer just changed out the transmission (with a used one). It appears there is a problem with the brake/clutch mechanism.

    The brake needs to be pulled up (just slightly) because the mechanism does not fully release, taking the slack out of the drive belt. The dealer suggested I pull up the brake/clutch with my left foot to fully engage the drive belt. This is annoying at best.

    This design defect is noticed mostly on slopes, even slight slopes. It is annoying wherever I have to use the top of my foot to pull up the brake/clutch.

    Does Husqvarna have a fix for this problem?

    My mower has 130 hours, has had all of the maintenance. I am disappointed the service life is so short.
