Service & Maintenance Question posted November 30, 2014 by Caril Chasens
    Question:
Wiggly auger hub, 1830HV snow thrower.

The auger hub on our (one year old) 1830HV snow thrower is so loosely in position that it can easily be moved by hand, up and down, through an inch or more of play. Our dealer said that it might be ok like that, but that some models have a flange holding the auger steady in the center, and that possibly our machine could be retrofitted to add this support. We are concerned.. is this looseness the way it is supposed to be? What if anything is wrong? (The first thing we did was to check all the shear bolts. They are all ok.) What should we do?

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 20, 2018 by Jerry Marks
    Question:
I have aHusqvarna 1140SBEXP two stage snow blower. When the engine is running, the impeller turns, however, the auger does not. I've looked at the parts page and I don't see how the gear system works or parts for it in the housing in the center of the auger shaft. Is there a cause for this? The auger turns but stops when encountering snow. The rotation is much slower than what I am used to seeing on this machine. Thanks for any help.

    Question:
Looking for the list of service bulletins and their descriptions, Specifically S/B # B1500013 for my ST230P that's eating belts. Seems I'm not the only unhappy owner experiencing this. I'd like to get the updated parts installed, BEFORE the snow flies!!! Thanx, Jay

Service & Maintenance Question posted April 30, 2016 by Paul D
    Question:
I need to drain gas out of my Husqvarna ST230P snowblower. As a new owner, I let gas stay in the tank for two months without running the snowblower, and now it will not start (didn't add stabilizer either - rookie mistake I've learned). What is the best way to drain the tank - use a siphon pump? Thanks for your help.

    Question:
I have a Model # ST227P product # 961930097 27" Snow Thrower and want to change the engine oil now that the season is over.
Looking through the manuals that came with the machine I see that the different engines have different capacities.
My engine model # according to the stamp on the side of the engine is PW2HK18750 OR 75H.
No where in the user manuals does it cross reference these numbers over to CC size so I can determine the oil capacity of the engine.
My question is what CC engine is this and why doesn't the owner's manual have this useful information?

ST 227P, brand new out of the box, Auger not working3

    Question:
ST 227P, brand new out of the box, Auger not working
    Details:

from amazon, everything fires up like a dream, but the Auger simply doesn't turn the blades, ever.

I am not sure what to do as I bought in November and haven't had to run it until now.  I don't have an easy means of packing this up into a vehicle to get it serviced, bought it on amazon so return will be a huge hassle.

Amazon reviews say the auger belt comes off fairly regularly, is it possible it shipped this way?

Also 1 other small issue, when idling and hands completely off the unit it creeps forward slowly on its own.  Not sure what is going on here?

10530SBE Snowblower Auger Belt Slipping. MODEL:96195000101...escalated3
Service & Maintenance Question posted December 17, 2013 by Thad
    Question:
10530SBE Snowblower Auger Belt Slipping. MODEL:96195000101 S#110205M605302. I have had problems with the auger belt slipping due to not enough tension being applied to the belt since it as purchased in Feb 2006. Replaced the belts it least 3 times. The Impeller Arm was replaced in 2010 due to weak design (original part # 532 17 92-59) can't remember however I think it was bent. The new part # 532 18 47 89 for the Impeller Arm/Pad Assembly looked to be a better design. Guess what I still have the same problem with slippage. Now in 2013 I see the design has changed again the new part # 532 42 27 62 and the description has changed to KIT SERVICE IDLER PULLEY. Will this new kit take care of the issue with slippage?? I hate to keep throwing parts at this machine. The kit includes a pulley, what is this for Engine Shaft or Impeller Arm? Why is a belt included in this kit?? If this can't be answered I will supply more info pics etc. hopefully I can put this problem to rest. see 2 pics of impeller arm that was removed from service and the latest revision impellar arm KIT

Service & Maintenance Question posted February 11, 2013 by Wayne McConnell
    Question:
I bought a new Husqvarna 105275SB-LSb snow blower in 2009-2010 from a local dealer in town.I've had to replace the intermediate drive gear twice now.Part #532441417 kit.The first time was in 2011 and second time is now during the blizzard of 2013. My first question is why is this gear stripping(loosing teeth)and failing? The machine hasn't seen many large storms other than this storm. the blizzard of 2013 and in 2011 when we had a number of storms that season. We had nothing to speak of last season.
Is there a problem with this gear? Metal too soft? And last, why do I have to buy the kit when all I need is to replace the gear?

I'm a Husqvana fan and have owned a number of produts. I'm dissapointed with this one. This should'nt happen at all never mind twice.

I would appresiate your response to my questions. Thank You.

    Wayne McConnell,
    Norton,Ma.
