Service & Maintenance Question posted May 2, 2011 by Wayne Smith
I just bought a 125B blower to replace a blower that had given 10+ years of service. This was purchased at Lowe's so it came home in a box, no initial 'set-up' provided. After quick assembly and fueling, the unit started instantly. But it would not accerate. High speed jet required adjusting,,,only you can't adjust the jet with the 'new' splined head. A quick trip to Lowe's for the tool to adjust the carb. But I was told you can't buy the tool, EPA regulations. What!?? So I returned the unit to Lowe's for an exchange as per their recommendation. The THIRD blower did perform somewhat. I'm a mechanical engineer who designs transmissions for off road equipment and I am a mechanic. I made a tool that works fine but it makes a statement about the quality of Husqvarna that I got a so-so unit on my second exchange. I took great offense at the recommendation that a trip to an "authorized' service center is required to perform a simple carb adjustment.

Service & Maintenance Question posted July 31, 2011 by roger cummons
I have a backpack blower mod # 145bt that my father-in-law bought about 3 years ago. It has always leaked gas from the gas cap. I have bought 2 new caps, and broke 2 caps, trying to solve this problem. From what I read on the Internet this was a common problem with this model. And yes the cap does have the rubber seal in it. It seems like a waste to have such a nice blower sitting around not being used because of gas leaking all over you when using it. Is there a fix for this? Thanks for your time and help.

Disappointed. I purchased a 125B blower 6 months ago from Lowes and have used it for 5 hours total. The blower motor will turn over and fire up after numerous pulls, but won't stay on. The problem first started during a 2 hour use while pushing leaves around the yard by just turning off in mid use. Since then, the motor won't stay engaged for more than a few seconds. Please help me understand how to get the problem fixed? Can I return it to lowes without the original receipt? Can you send me a knew one? Do I have to chase down a qualified technician to repair it? Thanks.

I have a 350BT blower that seems to be exceptionally hard pulling to start. It almost takes 3 men and a boy to pull the starter cord. It works fine once started.

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 31, 2017 by Richard Stewart
    Hello

I currently own a Poulan Pro Pp46Bt 46cc 2-Cycle 220 Mph 490 Cfm Heavy-Duty Gas Backpack Leaf Blower Model # 967086901. I need to buy a replacement carburetor. The old one is a RUI ING H119-6 (see attached pic).

I contacted Poulan Pro customer service and the reps provide very little help.

First rep: told me to put fresh gas and I would have no problem. (I did this and had the same problem. Machine would stall out when I press full throttle).

2nd rep: said I needed a new carburetor. Gave me part # listed on parts manual and told me part was on back order. 3 week wait plus would charge me $30+ for the part. (I look all over the web for the part # and could not find it)

3rd rep: I ask why the part # was impossible to find since this was a new 2016 machine. She could not tell me the brand of carburetor or confirm if the part # provided was correct. Even ask a supervisor with no luck.

I took out the carburetor from machine. It is a RUI ING H119-6. I google the part, only thing I could find was H119 (no -6).

Can someone confirm the proper replacement carburetor for my machine and where I can get one. I don't understand why this is so hard and why the carburetor is not readily available.

    Thank you
    Richard Stewart

Service & Maintenance Question posted May 16, 2016 by Charlie Jernigan
I have a 130 BT leaf blower. It will not run at full speed. It starts and idles just fine. When I speed up, there is an increase in rpm but no where near 7500.
So far I have replaced the spark plug, fuel filter, fuel line, air filter and carburetor.
At wide open throttle the ports are wide open on both carburetors.
The top speed is the same with either carburetor.
I was wondering if there is a governor or RPM limiter built into this leaf blower I am not aware of.

Hello, I recently purchased a 150BT used. Do you know what the resistance is on the coil unit b4 I deam it bad? The unit is in good shape. I did a full tune up upon purchase. All Husq OEM parts. husq oil and high test non ethanol fuel. Ran the unit for about 4 hours (non continuous) and now when warm is develops a pretty healthy skip. tested kill switch (good), no intake or exhaust restrictions, compression primary and secondary in spec, carb clean, fuel filter clean, unit is developing weak spark, coil gap is good.

Husqvarna 356BT. When it gets hot it stops running. Replaced the fuel, ignition and carburetor. The new carb- started second pull and ran great for about 1/2 hour, then died like it ran out of fuel. Whats next?

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 10, 2012 by Denver Forbes
125B blower purchased in 2011 worked great about a year then would not run. Heard whistling sound when depressing purge bulb. Found and repaired cracks in fuel line both inside and outside of tank near connections, replaced spark plug, used new fuel. Afterward blower would only run with choke wide open and throttle depressed. Fuel line is not picking up fuel. Depressing purge bulb just blows air in and out of fuel tank. I disassembled fuel system and cleaned purge bulb ports. Fuel filter was clean. If there is a check valve in the system it is not working. Fuel lines still will not pick up fuel.
