Service & Maintenance Question posted June 29, 2015 by Mike Greenley
    Question:
Is there a better 3rd party blade adapter that fits my HU800AWD?
    Details:

When I tried replacing my blade this afternoon I found that the star pattern on the blade adapter was chewed down to a circle. As soon as I loosened the bolt holding the blade, a ton of metal shavings fell out. I started researching online just for the blade adapter part, but, soon found a bunch of articles and videos about an ongoing problem with these Husqvarna star shaped blade adapters (Here is a link to a video of one guy who has had this happen 3 times already: https://youtu.be/i-xsHg9NDMU?list=FLXLduZlZkFz0A9NovtN5-PQ). Some people even have the blade complete shear through the holding bolt and fly off. I'm just wondering if a simple fix would be to replace the star shaped adapter with a 2 pinned adapter? Any suggestions, recommendations for known third party (or even Husqvarna) adapters that will work on my HU800AWD?? Thanks in advance!!!

    Question:
I purchased the 775EX or HU 775H mower. I recently experienced heavy white smoke and oil coming out of the muffler area. There was plenty of oil in the system. I have tried to research suggestions and I have read if the unit was turned on its side or has been in the rain (heavy soaking) this can occur. The suggestion was to remove the muffler, clean it out and then replace the oil completely. Do you agee? Would this be the cause for teh smoke and oil from muffler? What do you suggest to remedy the situation. Please advise, thanks!

    Question:
I have a Husqvarna HU700F, Product Number 961450009 00, Serial # 013013M021166. The Control Cable has "frayed" and I ordered and received part number 532 41 53-50. The part that I wish to replace appears to "pass thru" the mower deck differently than the replacement part. The replacement part appears to be "pushed into a round hole" on the mower deck, and then connected to the drive....my existing cable "slides" into a "slot in the deck" so that the cable is "locked in"...Did I order the correct part ??? It looks the same, other than where the cable connects at the mower deck.

    Question:
How do you remove the drive belt cover from the top of the Husqvarna LC221A all wheel drive mower? My all wheel drive stopped working yesterday.
    Details:

I love my mower but being single I need a little help in figuring things out on it.  I need to see if maybe the belts have came loose or something.  I have very hilly territory I mow and I rely on the all wheel drive to help me, a lot!!

    Question:
I have a new HU675AWD walk behind mower. It is 3 months old and has less than 20 hours on it. It starts on the first pull but will not stay running. It dies immediately. It acts like it is not getting fuel but the line is clear, and has fresh fuel. This is the first time this has happened. Any ideas anyone? Has anyone else had this problem?

Service & Maintenance Question posted September 1, 2011 by Kimberly Willoughby
    Question:
I am trying to figure out how to lodge a complaint about my mower. My husband bought it last June, and spent quite a bit of money on it because we were tired of not having a dependable mower. We used it from half way through June until probably half way through September. We then emptied it out and put it up for the winter. The following May when we went to mow our grass it would not start, and it took us two weeks to get it back from Sears. Now it has decided to stop working again (3 months after being repaired once), and is back at Sears again for another two weeks. Our yard looks horrible! We bought a more expensive mower because we wanted consistancy, but instead we have not been able to use the mower 4 weeks out of this summer...summer only lasts 4 months! I feel we have been cheated. My neighbor purchased a Craftsman mower the same time we did, and has had no problems with it. The Sears salesman talked us into your mower, and now they won't do anything about it's shoddy quality, and how disappointed we are with it. I feel that someone owes me a mower that works.

    Question:
I have a self propelled walk behind Husqvarna HU775BBC mower.

The drive cable (cable drive)has become unattached to whatever it attaches to for tightening the drive belt pulley for propulsion. Where does the drive cable attach to create the tension necessary to obtain propulsion at the drive pulley end? Hope someone can help here.

    Thanks Tom

    Question:
We purchased a model 7021P Walk Behind Mower and have a question. Is there any way to adjust the mowing height other than the adjustment lever? One level is a little too short and the next is a little to long. We noticed that a 9-position adjuster may be available on some models. Is it possible to retrofit this adjuster to our mower? Is it available for purchase?
