Service & Maintenance Question posted May 3, 2015 by Aaron Waltersdorff
    Question:
YTH24K48 is making a deafening squeak when doing anything but a right turn.
    Details:

My YTH24K48 has been making squeaking sound (possibly from the front end) that will not stop. It squeaks (louder than any hearing protection can block out) regardless if the deck is engaged or not and only stops when turning right. Unless I am making a right turn, it is deafening! I see a lot of similar issues that have gone unanswered and would love to get this figured out.

    Question:
I purchased a yth21k46 on May 30th. No warranty info was given to me. I have received no reply from Husqvarna after 3 emails and Lowes dosen't seem to care. What is the warranty for this machine and is the Kohler engine under the same warranty or is it 3 years?

Service & Maintenance Question posted June 15, 2015 by Hugh Cox
    Question:
How do I keep the front wheels from falling off of my YTH24V48 riding mower?
    Details:

I bought a YTH24V48 at lowes about 4 months ago.  I have cut the yard maybe 5 times.  Yesterday as I was backing into the garage I noticed the left front wheel was at a severe tilt and seemed to be about to slide off the axel.  I stopped the mower and put on the parking break.  I found the rubber cover, two washers and a c-clip in the driveway.  I used a jack to raise the front end of the mower and put the tire back on cliping the c-clip in the grove where it belongs.  Is there a remedy from Husqvarna for this issue.  Reading on the internet, it seems to be a design flaw in the mower.

The front right wheel on my Husqvarna LGT2654 started...escalated1
Service & Maintenance Question posted September 12, 2014 by Bill Bryan
    Question:
The front right wheel on my Husqvarna LGT2654 started wobbling.I want to replace whatever washers etc are needed. The schematic on the repair manual,p 12, shows 2 #13 washers, 1 #52 washer, and a ring clip. But, I saw another schematic on p 18 that shows a bearing flange for the front wheel. When I took it apart there was no bearing flange, and I'm wondering which schematic is correct? Should I order a bearing flange? This should be a simple repair, but I can't find any info on it. (I'm trying to avoid taking the other side apart to check because it looks in such good shape I hate to mess with it.)

Service & Maintenance Question posted July 13, 2011 by Gayle Tabor
    Question:
After changing the oil on my YTH2348 the oil light is on.
I have checked the oil level, tightened the oil filter and check the plug as the manual suggests. I also changed the air filter but the oil symbol remains on. Do you have any other suggestions? Taking it to a dealership would be very diffecult.
Thank you in advance for helping me.

    Question:
    I just bought a Husqvarna YTH22V42
lawn tractor. I want to raise the cutting deck because it is cutting too
low. The manual says to do so by the adjustment screw on the left side
attached to the height level adjuster. I have done that but I can’t seem to
correspondingly adjust the right side. I am only getting a little over 3"
height which is too low. I live too far to take it to the dealer. Can you
    advise?

BLADES & BOLTS FALLING OFF new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden...escalated5100%
Service & Maintenance Question posted June 17, 2012 by D. Fain
    Question:
BLADES & BOLTS FALLING OFF new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tractor. THREE times in 1st YEAR of ownership.
    Details:

On 6/2/11 I purchased a new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tractor from STI Turf Care in Colfax, NC. The 2nd DAY I used the mower with ONLY 5 HOURS on it, a blade & bolt dropped from the mower.  Never heard anything & had mowed a while before saw blade & bolt on ground--together with bolt threads up from center of star hole of blade..  I mow a lot of grass & my lawn is certainly not a golf course, but was on smooth & level ground when this happened.  Dealer was not going to even come & pick up the TWO-DAY OLD MOWER WITH ONLY 5 HOURS ON IT or cover under warranty.  They insisted I must have hit something to shear off the bolt.  I did NOT. After planning to return the mower for full refund, dealer finally agreed to pick it up & make repairs.  I'm sure they put same blade & bolt back on machine.  Then in October 2011 (5-MONTH OLD MOWER WITH 88 HOURS ON IT), a blade fell off again, and I found the bolt within one foot of blade.  Perfectly smooth & level ground once again.  Dealer again flatly refused to pick up the mower & make repairs under warranty.  I misplaced the bolt in my garage & they priced new one for $10.00 (NO warranty since had to be my fault per dealer).  Went to LTD in King, NC & bought new factory bolt for under $6.00.  Local repairman I have always trusted to service three John Deere & Toro Wheelhorse (I have used on SAME grounds past 15 years--without EVER having a blade fall off ANY of them!) made the repair, sharpened all the blades, & serviced the machine.  I decided after their rip-off price for part that should be warrantied, overall poor service attitude & not standing behind their product that I would NOT deal with STI again. All went well until yesterday, 6/16/12, with 111.5 HOURS & just over ONE-YEAR old, blade fell off again on perfectly smooth & level ground.  As with other two times, no noise or any idea blade was off until I came around & saw it on ground.  This time I cannot find the bolt.  I am extremely aggravated & disappointed considering price I paid for this machine.  I am NOT abusing the tractor or subjecting it to anything or anywhere my two JD or Toro have gone before.  Cutting at 2.5" to 3" and NO obstacles. This problem is NOT from the operator.  Has to be mechanical defect. I have not marked the blades so have no idea if SAME blade each time. What do you suggest??  I received no help from dealership.  Is Husqvarna going to ignore this very dangerous problem until someone is hurt or killed by a loose blade??
