Warranty Question posted October 1, 2014 by John Sasta
    Question:
Where can I take my new snow-blower for a warranty repair or to take a look at something?
    Details:

I recently purchased a new ST230P and after starting it for the very first time the day it arrived at my door, I'm hearing a loud ping/rattle inside the gearbox area. I called my local authorized dealers and all of them said that they only do warranty service on the equipment purchased from them.

The problem is that this was purchased from Amazon.com pre-ordered in August due to the competitive pricing by pre-ordering.  Its disappointing that Huqvarna has such a policy. Don't allow products to be sold by a place that isn't equipped to service them.

    Update:

Since I still haven't received a reply, I peeked around at the machine without taking it apart and I found the source of the noise.

581 44 69-03 SWING PLATE FRICTION PULL is mounted with a lot of "play" because both of the  581 73 27-01 SPACER DRIVE are shorter than they should be to firmly hold the plate in place. When the belt is turning the pulley it causes the plate to slide back and fourth along 581 12 30-01 ROD TIP PLATE. That sliding is causing the plate to make a rattle and loud ping.

Please advise is this is normal or cause for concern. The spacers, being plastic, wont be able to handle that frequency of impact.

Warranty Question posted December 28, 2013 by Steve Nebesni
    Question:
I have a 12527HV Snowblower. It was difficult to start from day 1 and I just thought it was just the way it was. Today while inspecting the machine I noticed the primer hose is broken in half. Is this a warrantied item? I purchased the machine about a year ago and only used it about 3 times. Also, the cotter pin for the auger control fell out the last time I used the machine. I currently have a paperclip holding the lever in place. Would HV be able to send me these 2 items in the mail so I can install? I do not have a vehicle capable of bringing it to a service center.

    Thanks!

Warranty Question posted February 18, 2013 by James Kraft
    Question:
I purchased a 10527SB-LS snowblower new on December 6 2008, after the first time I used it the drive gears did not work. I brought the unit to Landers Hardware (where I purchased it from) in Bangor MI for service work on January 9 2009, on the 16th I picked it up. At the next snow fall I went to use it again (still under warranty) same thing happened! Gear drive was stripped out. After the 2nd time of repair I told the owner of Landers' that I dont think I want the unit back because it seemed like a lemon. He asked me to give it one more try and if it happened a 3rd time he'd make it right. It never snowed enough again that year and the next 2 to use the machine. So this year we finally got a good heavy snowfall and went to use it thinking all would be great only to have the gears strip again. Once again I brought back to Landers for repair, it turns out that the part numbers have been superseded to a drive gear kit,5324414417. After talking to Doug Landers and his store manager they felt by this happening that it was a design change because of the problems with the gear drive in the past. This tells me that this model is a LEMON! I told them I had had enough and I just wanted my money back and they could keep the unit. There was no way they could take that kind of hit (money wise) by giving me back my money. Tech shot it down saying they couldn't help with the price of the parts or give me a refund because the unit is 5 years old.....I ONLY USED IT 3 TIMES!!!!! I want to know....what can Husqvarna do for me now??? Please help me end this so everyone is happy. Thanks!!

I've tried everything backing down the choke cutting the throttle back and it stills cracks and backfires, sometimes even just engaging the auger.

I need to know what is wrong with this machine a.s.a.p.

Warranty Question posted December 18, 2016 by Theresa Doyon
    Question:
The authorized service center/dealer didn't fix fix a problem covered under warranty despite claiming they did - the warranty has expired - is the warranty on the exact same problem still applicable?
    Details:

I purchased an 1830EXLT in 2014. In 2015 - after powering through ~7 feet of snow like a champ - it went to an authorized service dealer for a warranty repair. The problem was that, if I stopped the blower and shut off the engine, it would not start again for about 2 hours. The dealer claimed to fix the problem under warranty and returned it. We didn't have more than 3 inches of snow last winter so it didn't see any use. I tried to use it yesterday and found that the snowblower had the exact same problem it did when I bought it. Yes shame on me for not testing the blower thoroughly after they claimed to fix it and didn't. Regardless, can I get the blower fixed for this problem even though it's out of warranty? What does Husqvarna do to ensure that it's authorized service dealers don't commit fraud?

    Question:
Hi I have a snowblower I bought one year ago. It got flooded last week so pulled the plug and rolled it over a few times. While pulling the plug it felt like it came out tough, didn't think too much of it. When I went to put the plug back in I spun it in about three turns by hand and then about one turn with a socket and then it went cross thread. The threads are pulled in the middle, just curious if I can do anything to get a warranty to fix or replace head?

    Question:
I have a Husqvarna HU1130 STC snow thrower and to prongs for the magneto broke off. Trying to get warranty service for the machine and when I called about warranty service the person hung up when I asked to talk to a Husqvarna rep.
    Details:

I would like to know that Husqvarna would honor the warranty on the engine on a snow thrower sold as a Husqvarna
