Husqvarna 440 Choke will not stay on1
Service & Maintenance Question posted September 9, 2018 by Chris Kloes
    Question:
Husqvarna 440 Choke will not stay on
    Details:

    Husqvarna 440 x torq.

When I pull the choke switch out, and then push up the red choke/control switch will not lock in place. Has anyone experienced this type of issue before? I have removed the cover and visually inspected the switch itself, and it's connections on both sides of the carburetor. Nothing appears to be broken. See photos and video. Any thoughts welcomed and appreciated.

    Thank you in advance, Chris.

    Question:
I have a 562XP chainsaw. The oil adjustment screw only turns to the left..counterclockwise. It is a ramped screw and does not have a stop like my 550 or 460 chainsaws. How do you tell which position it is in. For example: Min setting vs Max setting?

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 1, 2018 by Chris Harrison
    Question:
I got 435e, Series II, and I can't figure our what type of chain I have on the chainsaw. I don't see on the chain anything that will identify it, and in the User's manual it says that there are two different sets of tools for chain sharpening, with slight differences in angles, I think. Also, one of these two type of chains from the Manual are not even listed on the Husqvarna website as their standard product.

I called distributor that sold me the saw, and they don't know either, they want me to bring the saw back to them to take a look (?!). I don't wan to do that, they are quite far from me, I was hoping there is some mark on the chain that tells what it is.

    Question:
I have a rancher 455. About 4 years old. All of a sudden it won't turn off. I took the cover off the saw that there is a wire just hanging. Where does it go? Did something break? The manual isn't clear on this. IT shows the wiring, then in another view it shows the switch...

    I hope the link works..

Bar Chain Oil Leaking from never-used saw1
Service & Maintenance Question posted July 20, 2018 by Matthew Novitzke
    Question:
Bar Chain Oil Leaking from never-used saw
    Details:

    Hello,

I have a brand new 450E.  I bought it a few months ago and haven't had to use it until now.  When I opened the saw case, it was full of the bar chain oil.  It had leaked out entirely.  The cap was put on tightly, and it doesn't appear to be the seal, so there must be a leak somewhere I can't see.

My question is: is this serviceable and covered under the Husqvarna warranty?  And, what should I do?

    Question:
Huskvarna used to be my home town. I have a long history with Husqvarna. Just got a SKU 531 30 00-80 Chain Saw 3/8 FileKit. The instructions does not match the parts included. Bad reviews on Amazon due to that. It's a great tool, but please, do something about the instructions ;-)

Service & Maintenance Question posted July 13, 2018 by John Knight
    Question:
My Husqvarna 36 is hard to start because the rope can be pulled only with great effort. The resistance is in a series, indicating that I am fighting full compression. Is there a compression release feature that eases starting effort? Would the replacement of a part (that a fairly mechanically savvy but not expert person could install) solve the problem? The engine ran pretty well last time I was able to start it. Thanks for your help.

    Question:
I have a rancher 455 chain saw. Since new the chain tensioner has very little tensioning adjustment. I just put new bar, clutch cup and chain,(all genuine Husqvarna) and there is less than 1/4" adjustment left. Generally I am never able to use chains effectively as they never make it past the first sharpening
