How do I complete the warantee registration product model...4
Warranty Question posted July 9, 2015 by David Hoffman
    Question:
How do I complete the warantee registration product model section?
    Details:

How do I complete the online registration when the program cannot find my product model?  I typed in "455 Rancher" (the name used on the Husqvarna site) and have tried the search function several times.  Even after a couple of days, it is still searching.  It will not complete the registration with my typed in model and never completes the search.

Warranty Question posted May 1, 2012 by randal boone
    Question:
I bought a 455 rancher #965 03 02/00 about 2 or 3 years ago to cut brush on my ranch. I have used it from time to time aproximately 10 to 12 times for an hour or so since purchased. The 2nd or 3rd time I used it the chain started to come off within the first 5 to 10 minutes of use. It has gotten progressively worse and currently will not stay on the saw over 1 minute while in use. This saw has less than 30 hours use. Is there a design problem or recall with this model pertaining to the problem I just explained? I have looked at it closely and cannot determine the reason for the malfunction. What do you recommend.

Re: Registering for the extended 4 year warranty:
After registering my 450 chainsaw the responding email had a part that said, if you can't attach a link of your receipt then to mail it in, and it gives their address to mail it to.
I don't know if they did or didn't receive the attachment I added. How can I tell if my warranty was extended to 4 years?
My Confirmation Number is 131023-003223 if that helps.

550XP - Is this a warranty issue, or just how these things...4
Warranty Question posted October 21, 2016 by Michael Barton
    Question:
550XP - Is this a warranty issue, or just how these things run??
    Details:

So I've got this 2015-33 550XP that I got from a (non-local, forum sponsor) dealer (new) a couple months ago (August). When it's 85+ degrees F, it basically won't hot or warm restart. I can get it to fire, and it'll idle, but it takes lots of starts and lots of fiddling with the throttle to get it to rev. After it gets revved up and I get it in some wood, it'll clean up and act right. Using the purge bulb doesn't seem to help. Once it's acting right, it revs fine, etc.. Below 80F, there really aren't any problems with warm/hot restarts.

Also, I have problems being able to hit the throttle on like "first start of the day" kind of starts. It idles, but I can't get it to rev at all, and it'll die 5-6x, when I hit the throttle (even if I ease into it). Finally, it'll rev and run fine. Again, purge bulb doesn't seem to do much. It also very likely may have to do with the high side semi-vapor-locking the fuel out of it, from it being hot the last time I shut it down.

I've only run the Husky 50:1 XP Fuel pre-mix through it, so far, for warranty reasons. I've used about 2.5 quarts.

Is this a warranty deal, or is this just kind of "how they are?" I know there were some updates (2 rounds of them, looks like) since the date of this saws's mfg, and I knew about the updates at the time, but I guess I sort of under-estimated the amount of time that saws are both on the ocean, and sit on the shelf, and figured I'd be getting one with all the updates.

I have a Husqvarna 435 chainsaw. The part that holds chain...escalated1
Warranty Question posted September 8, 2014 by Steven Pretty
    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 435 chainsaw. The part that holds chain oil in the reservoir so it can be dispensed onto the chain does not hold the oil in the chainsaw. It is a defective design, and no matter how many times it is replaced it will never hold oil for longer than 1 original use.
    Details:

I purchased the saw for fall cutting/cleanup, then never got around to using it that year.

The Husqvarna brand was a major factor in my selection of the saw, which I bought despite being hard up financially.  It was a major purchase (to me).  It might not seem like much money to you, but it was to me.

The next year I did make a point to use it before the 1 year came up, since I am aware that 15% of everything built in China is defective right out of the box.  It worked fantastic, and I put it up on the shelf.  Little did I know, that was the only single use that it would work without a problem.  The next time I used it, it worked great again . . . till I noticed the puddle of chain oil underneath it in the garage, under the shelf it was on.  I figured I must have done something wrong (it IS a Husqvarna, after all) and so when I needed it again I just filled it up and used it, then carefully put it back on the shelf making sure the cap was on tight and so forth.  It spilled its guts again.  Then I took it in to Lowes where I bought it, and to their credit they replaced the part free of charge - I got the saw back 6 weeks later.  Next time I used it, it worked great again - no problems.  Then the second use, it spilled its guts again!  I took it to a local repair shop to inquire about repairing it again, and was advised there is no point to doing that, since it will always work once, and only once, before it won't retain chain oil again.  At this point the oil leaks out as fast as I pour it in, so I can't even use it and drain the oil between uses.

I am astonished that a Company like Husqvarna could actually put out a product like this.  You mean to tell me that you made a design change to a part, but never bothered to go cut wood a few times before having the Chinese build a million copies of the defective design?  Obviously you know what you did wrong by now, and in what series of manufacture.  A reputable company would not hide behind a warranty period if they knew specifically what they did wrong.  What I would expect is to get a letter from Husqvarna from Lowes when they returned the 'repaired' saw to me, saying that this was a defective design - and that with their apologies, Husqvarna would like to give me a credit of so many dollars towards a replacement saw, or a  new version of the same (corrected) model without the design flaw.

What can you do to make this right with me?

Leaking Chain Oil Cap...I purchased a 327P5X Pole Saw on...Answeredescalated1
Warranty Question posted July 10, 2011 by Charles Carver
    Question:
Leaking Chain Oil Cap...I purchased a 327P5X Pole Saw on 06/22/11. When assembling today and filling the chain tank with chain oil, the cap will not screw on squarely, allowing a slow leak of oil. The threads on the cap do not appear to be stripped or cross threaded. After turning in all the way, when looking at the cap from the side, you can clearly see that the cap does not fit evenly all the way around (small gap on one end). The leak will prove to be a pain during storage. Will another cap help or is this possibly a defective body?

    Thank you,
    Charles Carver

Warranty Question posted June 3, 2012 by KarlaAnswerArmy Gold
    Question:
I recently purchased a new Husqvarna 455 Rancher Chain saw which came witha 20" bar and chain. Bar is labeled 3/8 - 72DL and chain has #80 on each link. On one of the teeth it is only a half tooth, Is this Normal? Where the wear Indicator would normally be, to not sharpen beyond this point, the tooth is ground off, This chain has never been sharpened, and came with the new chainsaw. Is this a warranty Issue? Or how can I get a replacement chain?

Warranty Question posted September 10, 2011 by Marty Carabin
    Question:
I have a Husky 55 Rancher. I brought it to a local dealer to have the pull start replaced. It was running great before then. Now it will not start. The dealer will take it back and fix it, but is going to charge me just to look at it - which I find unacceptable. It was running fine when I brought it in. Can you guys give me some troubleshooting advice to get this thing running again?

Warranty Question posted October 18, 2015 by Chauncey Hall
    Question:
I completed the registration form online, and it says that I am supposed to get a confirmation email. Yes, i checked the spam folder, and NO, it is not there either. I purchased the 3 cans of Husq 2 stroke fuel to add the 2 additonal warrany years, but it says it has to be done online, and that I have to provide receipt proof by electronic or mail.

How long does it take to get the confirmation of registration ?
