    Question:
I purchased a 455 Ranger [model #966 04 85 94]and have been troubled with bar oil leaks since the first running. I took it to a local Husqvanara dealer who advised that nothing is wrong and he adjusted the oil flow screw to the lowest setting[contrary to the manual that advises the higest flow position for a 20" bar]. This saw leaks bar oil while setting on my worhbench in very noticable amounts and certainly is not oiling the chain excessively when cutting 10" oak.I have lots of experience with chain saws and know that this oil leaking when in storage is not "normal" and their "fix" is rediculous.I believe the oil pump or tubing components are at fault.aNY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS ?

Warranty Question posted July 20, 2011 by Debra Donaberger
    Question:
My husband purchased a Husqvarna chainsaw last August from Lowes . We haven't even finished paying for it yet and it is done . The motor went and when he took it to a service dealer , they said it was toast and NOT covered by warranty . He used it to cut a tree up we had to have taken down in our yard . Why else do you buy a chainsaw if not to cut wood ? They said it was excessive use and was not covered ??? How can you NOT stand by a product that wasn't even a year old yet ? We paid 385.00 for this chainsaw and bought your product because he said it was the best . However I don't feel this way . We still have some of the tree left in our yard and no chainsaw to finish the work . We haven't paid for it completely yet ...... I am so not satified ...... And will not recommend this product to anyone in the future ...... This is just not right ... Debra Donaberger Aston Pa

Warranty Question posted March 28, 2015 by Ron Blankenship
    Question:
I received a 240e chainsaw thru Western Lawn Equipment as a service award recognition from Maritz Rewards. I ordered the saw May 2014 and it was in the box unused until I put fuel and bar oil in it last week. The saw will not run. I took the saw to a local Husqvarna warranty provider and they told me the saw was not registered for warranty. Western Lawn Equipment states in a letter they send with the saw that it was registered for a warranty.

Here is the sweet part of it, the saw was manufactured in 2012 and sent to me in 2014. I get it that I received a piece of junk that no one will stand behind but it still bothers me.

Here is the number on the box (240)0966767601(21)20123300770.

The people I have been working with at the local Husqvarna dealer have been very nice. They didn't sell me the saw and I do not expect them to fix it for free.

Warranty Question posted January 2, 2015 by Jeff LaSo
    Question:
    Hello,
I just purchased a Rancher 455 about 2 weeks ago and it hasn't run right since day one. I can get it started, but it will not idle without some throttle applied. then if it does die, it will not start for about 5 hours. I use all factory oil, bar and gas mixture. Really disappointed with this saw so far, will this be covered under warranty? Maybe I should have spent a little more and bought a Stihl?

Warranty Question posted March 20, 2018 by Bryan Remaly
    Question:
Hi there, I'm a professional Arborist from PA who purchased a T540XP in July of last year and have had nothing but problems. It never really ran great, and as time went on it only got worse. Frustrated, I went back to the Stihl trim saw I had been using and put the 540 aside for a while. Finally getting around to it before the 6 month warranty ran out, I took it to a reputable local dealer a few days before Christmas, where it has been ever since (it's now almost APRIL!). Only 5 hours of runtime on the saw. They have thrown every part I can imagine at it, and have had no success. I just want a stinkin' replacement saw already! The dealer tells me that it is under warranty and they are working with Husqvarna to troubleshoot the saw. Is there anything I can do to get them to just give me a replacement, or am I at the mercy of the dealer here? $650 on a tophandle and this is the support I get? My Stihl dealer would have given me a replacement immediately if the saw couldn't be fixed a timely manner. Thanks for any and all help!!

550XP - Is this a warranty issue, or just how these things...4
Warranty Question posted October 21, 2016 by Michael Barton
    Question:
550XP - Is this a warranty issue, or just how these things run??
    Details:

So I've got this 2015-33 550XP that I got from a (non-local, forum sponsor) dealer (new) a couple months ago (August). When it's 85+ degrees F, it basically won't hot or warm restart. I can get it to fire, and it'll idle, but it takes lots of starts and lots of fiddling with the throttle to get it to rev. After it gets revved up and I get it in some wood, it'll clean up and act right. Using the purge bulb doesn't seem to help. Once it's acting right, it revs fine, etc.. Below 80F, there really aren't any problems with warm/hot restarts.

Also, I have problems being able to hit the throttle on like "first start of the day" kind of starts. It idles, but I can't get it to rev at all, and it'll die 5-6x, when I hit the throttle (even if I ease into it). Finally, it'll rev and run fine. Again, purge bulb doesn't seem to do much. It also very likely may have to do with the high side semi-vapor-locking the fuel out of it, from it being hot the last time I shut it down.

I've only run the Husky 50:1 XP Fuel pre-mix through it, so far, for warranty reasons. I've used about 2.5 quarts.

Is this a warranty deal, or is this just kind of "how they are?" I know there were some updates (2 rounds of them, looks like) since the date of this saws's mfg, and I knew about the updates at the time, but I guess I sort of under-estimated the amount of time that saws are both on the ocean, and sit on the shelf, and figured I'd be getting one with all the updates.
