Service & Maintenance Question posted May 18, 2015 by Waylon Rader
    Question:
I bought a new drive handle for my. 7021R. The drive had never worked on this most even after two trips to the dealer. I decided to look for the problem and found a knot in the tail of the drive cable. I am guessing that was an attempt by the dealer to "repair" the drive system. The new style drive cable does not fit anywhere like the old one did and I am unable to find anywhere else it would attach. I will add photos. Is there an actual direct repair that doesn't use the new and improved drive cable assembly?
    Details:
issue is the way it attaches on the deck. There is no where to mount the new one and the tail is way shorter than the old one. The new one has a rectangular push in tab, the old one is more cylindrical. Please contact with me with any questions. Waylon

    Question:
I have a HU625 AWD. I have had this mower for less than a year. After sitting over the winter, it will no longer start. I have removed the little bit of fuel that was still in the tank and replaced with TruFuel. Still will not start.

Please let me know what I need to do to get this mower working again. Thank you.

    Question:
Is there a better 3rd party blade adapter that fits my HU800AWD?
    Details:

When I tried replacing my blade this afternoon I found that the star pattern on the blade adapter was chewed down to a circle. As soon as I loosened the bolt holding the blade, a ton of metal shavings fell out. I started researching online just for the blade adapter part, but, soon found a bunch of articles and videos about an ongoing problem with these Husqvarna star shaped blade adapters (Here is a link to a video of one guy who has had this happen 3 times already: https://youtu.be/i-xsHg9NDMU?list=FLXLduZlZkFz0A9NovtN5-PQ). Some people even have the blade complete shear through the holding bolt and fly off. I'm just wondering if a simple fix would be to replace the star shaped adapter with a 2 pinned adapter? Any suggestions, recommendations for known third party (or even Husqvarna) adapters that will work on my HU800AWD?? Thanks in advance!!!

    Question:
I have a Husqvarna walk behind mower, only a year old and not been used much. Currently it will not start without starting fluid and then after it runs awhile, it starts surging and when the blades are engaged it stops. Then, it will not start again without more starting fluid! Anyone have ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

    Question:
I just bought a HU775L and couldn't complete my first mowing. It ran great, then all of a sudden it was really hard to start, and now if you start it, it runs really weakly and only for a few seconds and dies. I emptied and put in fresh new gas, but no change. Please tell me it's something simple so I don't have to return it, as I did like the power of this mower. Thanks!

    Question:
Husky 2042LS lawn tractor. Have changed slipping drive belt three times. This last time also replaced both idler pulleys. New belt started slipping on uphills AGAIN today. (Our yard has some steep grades to deal with) Can't see any way to tighten belt. Is there a slightly shorter version available?

Service & Maintenance Question posted March 25, 2017 by Zach Hendricks
    Question:
I have a 5521P walk-behind lawnmower that I purchased less than 9 months ago. After our winter (I live in Florida so grass hasn't grown for the past few months) I went to start up the mower and it just will not start. I've checked air filter, put in some "liquid mechanic" cleaner, fresh gas and checked the spark plug and can't seem to get the thing started. Any advice on what I should check to get it to start?

    Question:
I have a Husqvarna hu725awd mower, the mower starts fine but if I turn it off to empty the bag it won't start. After sitting for 10 minutes it will again start. I've changed the oil, plug, gas cap, air filter without luck. Basically, the motor has to sit to restart. I also tried restarting it without the gas cap on without luck.
