Warranty Question posted August 4, 2011 by Sandra WuokkoQuestion:My Weedeater Weone has a broken shaft. The belt kept slipping off it bent the blade and broke the shaft to the motor. I never hit anything with this mower. I do not feel like I should have to pay for this. The service shop says it is not worth fixing. Does my warranty pay for this? I will never buy another Weedeater product again or recommend one to anyone else. The machine's serial number is 041311L002912. It now will not move forward without making a loud grinding noise, though it will go into reverse just fine. I would like to take it in for warranty repairs since it is less than a year old and has less than 20 hours time on it.
The problem is that when calling the companies listed on the service locator I find that while they will service Weed Eater products they will no longer do warranty repairs. I've called the first nine companies listed with no luck and the next one's are in the US so I'm not going to take it across the border for repairs.
Can you direct me to a repair agent that will do warranty repairs on my Weed Eater One and don't say to check the service locator? - Warranty Question posted November 15, 2011 by Greg TellertQuestion:Is there some sort of "lemon" policy included in the warranty? I have had to put my weed eater one riding mower in the shop for a second time for the same problem. The authorized shop is having to order a second transaxle kit. With my warranty running out in either March or May of 2012 - this worries me.
- Warranty Question posted August 9, 2011 by louis goldbergQuestion:bought back in may 2010 front tire has wires coming out the side tryed to patch but did not work cause the wires apparently held the tire together went to order new tire and its on backorder so it must be a design error will you rectify this problem cause i'm seriously thinking about just hacking the shaft off and weld a new shaft to fit a harbor freight tire on the end there tires cost 5.99 as opposed to $43

In the manual and on the web it is listed as a $58.00 part, (plastic I might add), but now I have been told it is actually no longer avaliable, that you must purchase the entire assembly for $345.00? Am I crazy, it that possible? I mean first of all it isn't even one year old, and second of all, the part is PLASTIC and no longer able to purchase it, even though it is still listed in the manual and on the web as Part #428876. What a shaft! Any ideas?
Is this a warranty issue? - Warranty Question posted July 11, 2011 by Doug MoszerQuestion:Can anyone tell me if the 2 year warranty covers the friction wheel in the transaxle assembly? I'm hoping they do as that part isn't available and the replacement is a 330.00 entire transaxle assembly. I'm assuming they are replacing the entire assembly because there are issues with the existing tranny? My weedeater is only 10 months old and is totally non functional at this point. Service shops are telling me labor alone will be around 150.00 to 200.00 plus part. That's over 500.00 repair bill for a 600.00 lawn mower!!!! Non of the authorized weedeater repair shops can tell me if it's warrantied. I don't understand that at all. They say they need to take it apart first. I'm not willing to let a dealer work on it not knowing what the outcome could be as far as out of pocket expense. Man I wish I would have never bought this pile of junk!! Nothing but troubles from day 1.
